ในประเทศไทย อาจใช้รหัส Thai Medicines Terminology (TMT) ซึ่งรวบรวมข้อมูลยาชื่อทางการค้า ชื่อสามัญของยาที่ใช้ในประเทศไทย และมีกระบวนการปรับปรุงข้อมูลให้เป็นปัจจุบันทุก2สัปดาห์

ข้อมูล ณ เดือนมกราคม 2563 ยาในประเทศไทย มีชื่อทางการค้า(Trade Product) ประมาณ 28000 รายการ ชื่อสามัญ(Generic Product) ประมาณ 8500 รายการ
