การอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ( reading)

  ผู้เขียนอ่านข่าวนี้ฮามาก  เพราะปกติคนเราจะไม่ค่อยลืมสิ่งของสำคัญ เช่นปืน โดยเฉพาะเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ ผู้เขียนก็เป็นคนที่ค่อนข้างขี้ลืม เขาว่าขาดสติ ก็ชอบทำหลายๆๆอย่างในเวลาเดียวกัน เลยแก้ปัญหาโดยการจดไว้โดยเฉพาะเรื่องสำคัญๆๆๆ  ลองมาอ่านข่าวนี้นะครับ

Police gun left in loo

 

LONDON: A female Scotland Yard officer who once served as a bodyguard to ex-prime minister Tony Blair left her semi-automatic gun behind in the loo of a central London cafe, the police force said yesterday.
Confirming a report in the Sun newspaper, Scotland Yard said the incident, which happened on August 29, was being investigated.

The semi-automatic Glock 17 pistol was found by a member of the public in the toilet of a Starbucks outlet, where it had been lying for about 20 minutes.  

loo – (informal) a toilet ห้องส้วม(เป็นคำเรียกที่ไม่เป็นทางการ)
Scotland Yard – the main office of the London police, especially the department that deals with serious crimes in London เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจของอังกฤษ(มักเรียกทับศัพท์ว่า เจ้าหน้าที่สก็อตแลนด์ยาต)
incident – something that happens, especially something unusual or unpleasant บังเอิญ
investigate – to carefully examine the facts of a situation, an event, a crime, etc. to find out the truth about it or how it happened พิสูจน์, ตรวจ
pistol – a small gun that you can hold and fire with one hand ปืนสั้น, ปืนพก
outlet – a shop/store or an organization that sells goods made by a particular company or of a particular type ร้านค้า

 

       อ่านข่าวแล้วได้ใจความเหมือนกันไหมว่า เจ้าที่ตำรวจหญิงสก็อตแลนด์ยาต ที่เคยเป็นเจ้าหน้าที่รักษาความปลอดภัยให้แก่นายโทนี่ แบ ได้ลืมปืนพกไว้ในห้องส้วมของร้านกาแฟกลางเมืองลอนดอน

   เป็นเรื่องธรรมดาไหมครับที่คนจะลืม  ใครมีเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการลืมมาเล่าให้อ่านบ้างนะครับ  ขอบคุณครับ…
