…สาเหตุสำคัญที่ทำให้ต้นยางนาทั้ง 2 ต้นที่ถูกตัดไปมีสภาพทรุดโทรมเนื่องมาจากการทำถนนที่มีการเททับพื้นดินไปหมด และวัสดุที่ใช้ในการทำถนนนั้นไม่มีความพรุนให้น้ำและอากาศไหลผ่านได้ ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อระบบราก รวมทั้งรถที่ผ่านไปมาบนถนนยังกดทับดินที่อยู่ข้างใต้จนแน่นและทำให้ระบบรากมีปัญหา ซึ่งในส่วนนี้มีข้อเสนอแนะถึงกรมทางหลวงที่มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบดูแลว่าควรจะมีการปรับเปลี่ยนเทคนิควิธีและวัสดุในการทำถนนที่มีความพรุนเพียงพอที่จะเอื้อต่อระบบรากและมีชีวิตของต้นยางนา ขณะที่ในส่วนของ อบจ.เชียงใหม่นั้นเสนอแนะว่าควรจะต้องมีผู้เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะทำงานเต็มเวลาในการร่วมดูแลรักษาต้นยางนา เพื่อให้สามารถประเมิน วิเคราะห์และดูแลรักษาได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ รวมทั้งถูกวิธี ซึ่งจะทำให้สามารถรักษาต้นยางนาไว้ได้…
