มาดูว่าเครื่องหมายวรรคตอนมีอะไรบ้าง

    ในภาษาอังกฤษมีเครื่องหมายวรรคตอน(punctuation)หลายอย่าง เครื่องหมายวรรคตอนเหล่านี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ในการที่จะช่วยให้เราเดาคำศัพท์ที่ไม่เข้าใจได้ เครื่องหมายวรรคตอน(punctuation) เช่น

   commas (,)   

               

   quotation marks(“   “) เครื่องหมายคำพูด   

              

   dashes(-)  

   parentheses ( ) วงเล็บ 

  ดูตัวอย่างว่าเราสามารถเดาคำศัพท์ได้อย่างไร 

  In English , there are  many useful transition phrases-groups  of words that connect ideas. For example , the single word therefore and the phrase because of this show a cause -and-result relationship between two ideas. The word contrary mean like but. 

  เครื่องหมาย dashes จะอธิบายความหมายของ transition phrases ซึ่งแปลว่า กลุ่มคำที่เชื่อมความคิด(groups  of words that connect ideas.)
