“Dentist” in trouble

 

  Santi Boonlertyiam, a dentist working at the Kham Sakae Saeng district hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima, knew something was definitely wrong.  Several patients whom he didn't know had used his name when they were reimbursed for their dental service fees from the Social Security Office.
  He also found out that someone had used his name to apply for a job at the Ban Rak Fun clinic in Bang Khen district of Bangkok.
Dr Santi promptly alerted Min Buri district police that someone had assumed his identity and was damaging his reputation.
  Police tracked down the suspect and sought warrants for his arrest. He was Ratchadatorn Laptanacharoen, 20, a business administration student from Nakhon Ratchasima.
  He was arrested at a rented apartment in Bang Khen district and charged with cheating, identity theft and forging documents.
   It turned out that Mr Ratchadatorn had gained some experience by working as a dentist’s assistant in his hometown for one year. This apparently gave him the confidence that he could do the real thing.
Besides the Ban Rak Fun clinic in Bang Khen, he had also applied for jobs at three other clinics using Dr Santi's name.
  Mr Ratchadatorn said some clinics where he applied for jobs did not ask to see his qualifications.
  Mr Ratchadatorn confessed that he is now studying at the business administration faculty of the Pak Chong Industrial and Community College in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district and said he wanted to make extra money.
  ‘‘I learned about dental work from my previous job at a dental clinic. I have an interest and a passion to be a dentist someday, so I applied for a job at dental clinics.
  ‘‘After I finish college, I want to further my studies in dentistry,’’ he said.  It looks like jail will come first.

forge – to illegally copy documents, paper money, or works of art with the intention of cheating people ปลอมแปลงเอกสาร
apparently – seemingly; based on what seems to be true อย่างเห็นได้ชัด
qualification –  a degrees or a diploma that you get when you successfully finish a course of study คุณสมบัติ
confess – to admit that you have committed a crime  สารภาพผิด
passion – a strong interest or enthusiasm for something ความชอบ ความหลงใหล

ผู้ช่วยหมอฟัน ปลอมเอกสารเป็นคุณหมอฟันที่นครราชสีมา มารับจ้างทำงานพิเศษเป็นคุณหมอในกรุงเทพฯ  เดี๋ยวนี้มีการทำมาหาเลี้ยงชีพแปลกๆๆนะครับ โชคดีที่ตำรวจจับได้ …จะไปหาทันตแพทย์ดูประวัติท่านบ้างนะครับ อิอิๆๆ (อ่านข่าวนี้แล้วไม่ทราบว่าทำไมคิดถึงคุณแม่หมอนนทลี อิอิ อันนี้หมอฟันจริงครับ)  ขอไปทำงานต่อก่อนนะครับ…
