บันทึกนักศึกษาปริญญาเอกเกี่ยวกับการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ(reading)

       ผู้เขียนอ่านเรื่องนี้แล้ว ชอบมากๆๆเป็นเรื่องเด็กน้อย 3 ขวบ ซึ่งสามารถช่วยแม่ที่เป็นลมบ้าหมู(epileptic)ได้โดยโทรศัพท์ไปแจ้งเจ้าหน้าที่ให้มาช่วย

SYDNEY: An Australian toddler who saved his mother’s life by phoning emergency services has been nominated for a bravery award, national radio reported yesterday.

       Three-year-old Noah Opris called 000 on Monday and said his mother, who suffers from epileptic fits, was asleep on the floor and bleeding. Police and ambulance paramedics raced to the house in a Melbourne suburb and found Noah at home with his nine-month-old brother and their mother, who was unconscious.

       Emergency services spokesman Wayne Debernardi said Noah was a true hero. ‘‘This is a positive reminder to teach children at a very young age of what is required in the case of an emergency,’’ he said. AFP

unconscious – in a condition similar to sleep in which you do not see, feel, or think, usually because you are ill or injured= หมดสติ


positive – good =ดี, ด้านบวก

 

 reminder – something that helps someone remember what to do =เตือน

 
       อ่านจบแล้ว คิดถึงอะไรบ้างครับ  ผมคิดถึงหลานๆๆที่ชอบหยิบโทรศัพท์ไปแล้ว พูด อาโย… ถ้าเราสอนเขาพูดสิ่งที่เป็นประโยชน์จะเกิดผลดีมาก เพราะเขาอยู่ในวัยที่กำลังจำ…แหมชักอยากมีลูกเป็นของตัวเองซะแล้ว อิอิๆๆ…..
