หากจําเป็นต้องใช้ ให้สังเกตว่า
“as a whole” หมาย รวมทั้งกลุ่ม ไม่จําเป็นต้องแยกรายตัว
“on the whole” หมายถึง “for the most part”

วลี AS FAR AS แต่เดิมใช้ใน สํานวน
“As far as music is concerned, I especially love Baroque opera.”
แต่ปัจจุบัน ตัด วลี “is concerned” ออก
ซึ่ง การเปลียนแปลงอาจได้รับอิทธิพล จากความสับสน
กับวลี คล้ายๆกัน คือ การใช้ AS FOR
ในประโยค เช่น “As for money, I don’t have any.”
ถือว่าใช้ได้ หากแต่เมือเป็น “As far as money, I don’t have any.”
ถือว่า รุงร้ง
วลี AS FOLLOWS ต้องเป็น พหูพจน์ เสมอ
หมายถึง “as comes next” หรือ “what is listed next”
วลี AS PER เป็นคำโบราณ ในความหมาย
“in accordance with” หรือ “in respond to the request made”
เมื่อใช้ใน “Enclosed is the shipment of #2 toggle bolts as per your order of June 14” ถือว่า เป็นการใช้แบบ ฟุ่มเฟือย ควรหลีกเลี่ยง
และแทนด้วย ‘Enclosed is the shipment of bolts you ordered June 14”
