เป็น กริยา เน้น พยางค์ หลัง “per-MIT”
เป็น นาม เน้นทั้ง พยางค์ แรกและหล้ง “PUR-mit” “per-MIT”

“to grant” = (ให้เงิน ช่วยเหลือ)

อย่าสับสน “allow” “permit” และ “let” กับ “enable”
การ “enable” บางคน ให้ทำ บางสิ่ง หมายถึง
“ให้โอกาสพวกเขา ได้ทำสิ่งนั้น”
มิได้หมายถึง “ให้การอนุญาต” ให้พวกเขาทำ
‘Contraception enables women to plan their families.’
‘The new test should enable doctors to detect the disease early.’
