พระราชาคนหนึ่งประสงค์จะสร้างเมืองขึ้นใหม่ พระองค์เรียกนายช่างมาปรึกษา ช่างไม้ ทูลพระองค์ว่า เมืองต้องสร้างด้วยไม้ ถึงจะเป็นเมืองที่งดงาม ช่างเหล็ก ทูลต่อ เมืองที่ดีต้องสร้างด้วยเหล็ก จึงจะเป็นเมืองที่ดียิ่ง ช่างปูนทูลถวาย เมืองที่ดีจริงต้องสร้างด้วยปูน เพราะปูนเป็นสิ่งที่ดีที่สุด
นิทานเรื่องนี้สอนให้รู้ว่า คนย่อมเห็นตนดีที่สุด
Three artisans
