เป็นคำใช้ใน Aeronautics (การบิน)
ใช้ “zoom” เพียงแต่ กับ “การเคลื่อนที่ ขึ้นด้านบน” (upward movement)
ในการใช้ ปัจจุบัน
คลุมไปถึง การเคลื่อนที่ ทางระดับ ได้ด้วย เช่น
‘The motorcycle zoomed along the highway.’
เมื่อนำ “zoom” มาใช้ กับ การเคลื่อนที่ “downward”
ถือว่า ไม่เป็น มาตรฐาน
ควรเลือกใช้ “Swooped” ในประโยค เช่น
‘The kingfisher swooped (ไม่ใช่ zoomed) down on its prey.’

'zoom' is more often used in the sense of 'get closer' (zoom in) and 'get further out' (zoom out) especially in photography and browsing Internet graphic pages. ;-)
