Bravo! From me too.
I was guessing 'ants nest' but there was no ant to be seen (they would have come out to defend the nest and tell us straight away). My next guess was a kind of 'leaf roller' caterpillar (of a moth or a butterfly) in its coccoon stage -- we have to open the nest to see -- despite a (natural) 'do not disturb' sign. Or perhaps a kind of spiders.
Can you tell us what this สัตว์
I think we may have 2 kinds of aliens here. One (possibly a 'leaf curling spider') that makes a home by curling and gluing leaves and another (possibly a 'wooly aphid' -- insect) that sucks plant sap for food and may even kills young or small plants.
I found this http://homebuggarden.blogspot.com.au/2012/06/adven... and http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/running-ponies... and was told a mixture of 1 part cooking oil + 20 part water and a few drop of dish washing liquid (detergent), mix well and spray... can keep wooly aphids ... stationary...
Anyone knows something else? Please share!
Anyone knows something else? Please share!.....
Dear ยายธี: I am with you in forests and in Dhamma. I love to live with trees and 'all things great and small'. However, after looking at the 'small', I come to think that micro flora and fauna are 'building blocks' and micro-controllers. (Deeper still is the marvelous DNA.) Trees are like people. Both are opportunistic organisms taking advantages of possibilities available. But trees only take what they need. People are more greedy. ;-) Back to 'the small'. Whatever change to our environment the small will adapt quicker and become better fit much sooner. The great (like trees and people) may become unfit and extinct (like dinosaurs). After that DNA would find a way to build complex but maybe very different species of 'the great'. And the world would continue on with the very same Dhamma (in another different language).
[Continents are drifting apart from one super Gondwana and now colliding into one super Asia, to be split into parts that drift apart again -- 'a never ending story' for few 'billions years'. This is also Dhamma ('anicca' of rise and fall of all 'conditioned' things). Clinging to one moment would lead to dukkha. Realizing that these things are/have/do 'not' for any 'self-interest' (atta) outcome, we leave them go on the way they are going (que sera) -- in Dhamma.]
