Winning Environment Games
April 2014 started with April Fool's rains (after 11 months in drought we're laughing our heads off, downunder).
Then, there was another pleasing news that "International Court of Justice upholds Australia's bid to ban Japanese 'scientific' whaling in Antarctica". Many whales can now live and evolve to fulfil their potentials.
Two days after that (while we're still busy planting and praying for follow-up rains), we heard of this:

It is another win in environment games. We all play these games in one way or another. We want our share of right and responsibility for living space with all available resources equally distributed (at least in letter in constition). It is a good win off the first base. You know, we all want our share of good air, good water, good space, ... good enivironment and right to live well and to fulfil our potentials.
And we see that we must play environment games and play to win. Losing is not an option. --Never has been--. Because losing is --not just the game but our lives-- and our whole future!
When you're ready to play, just send out a big smile. No the biggest smile you can afford and ... go!

Congratulations! khun sr, for the first rain after your suffering 11 months in drought. Enjoy your planting and wishing you see other rainbows continually.
Thank you for letting me refer to your article, "Looking for rainbows", in the following one of mine.
Dear ยายธี : How is Spring over there? I kinda miss your picts of Yjailand's country side. And ยายวิ?i
Using only 5 litres of water a day sounds quite parsimonious and seemingly 'MiddleAged' ;-) In our 'bad days we used about 5 litres for drinking, cooking and washing dishes (for 2 people), then we used 1 bucket (about 9 litres) for showers/cleaning our bodies (it is called '2 minutes showers' -- with a water saving shower head/rose). Our trees and plants sufferred a lot more and needed more water than that! So we survived but many of plants sadly didn't.
Dear ไอดิน-กลิ่นไม้ : I am pleased to be of some use to you. Thank you!
You are right! We need to be more aware of our water issues. And water is a part of the whole earth ecosystem where we and our children will live today and tomorrows. Our more extreme eco-conditions are feedback of our 'collective actions' (especially unrestrained want of energy).
For millions of years, Nature has been evolving based on CO2 reduction strategies. But iin 100 years, Human has developed more ways to release CO2 captured in those millions years. Amazingly bizaare!
.... น้ำเน่ามากขึ้น .... เป็นปัญหารุนแรงมากขึ้นนะคะ
Dear Dr. Ple : Absolutely!
Please see also Rubbish in Our Environment <http://www.gotoknow.org/posts/565475>
When we see rubbish on the ground, at roadsides in front of our home; or in our waterways (as your pictures show) we feel sad. Thailand is a beautiful and happy country, we can make it more so and more livable for our children by 'cleaning up the rubbish and not just discarding our rubbish anywhere'.
Let's us do this as a top priority. Let's us start here in Gotoknow.org -- stop littering Gotoknow!
