King Rama IX's Philosophy emphasizes on capitalism involving everyone in ethics, mutual respect, love and sustainability.   

I remember that King Rama IX gave his royal advice on Sufficiency Economy. He wanted to share benefits to everyone especially the grass-root people to ensure equal benefit distribution, lessen gap and promote love and mutual respect. In this case, the maximum income is not indicator. It differs from colonial capitalism.

The examples are shown as follows.

First, I applied my 3 Circle Theory to analyze Trump’s roles in World Economic Forum in Davos.

Trump wanted to play 2 roles.

- The world leader’s role

- His motivation

He wanted to show the world that he worked successfully. The U.S. economic growth, high competitiveness, decreasing unemployment rate, tax cut, stock index growth were claimed as his success.

It was regretful that all of what Trump said was colonial capitalism policy focusing on materialism. The quantity is preferred to quality. It does not equally distribute the benefit and lessen the gap.

The most important point is that Trump did not look at the global sustainability. He looks at how the U.S. can grow bigger.

If he is a smart and talented leader, he should show how the U.S. prosperity benefits the world.

Macron, the French President did not say that “France First” but “Planet First” He suggested the brainstorming and cooperation to sustain the world.

In the future, some Thai representatives like Prof. Kasem Wattanachai, MD or Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul should speak about Sufficiency Economy to the businessmen on the global forum like Davos Forum. Then, they must explain to these global businessmen that colonial capitalism has greed and causes a lot of problem in the future.

A very interesting point is that, at Davos Forum, people criticized Trump that he boasted about the U.S. power. Donald Trump should have better vision. Instead of making contribution to the world, Donald Trump protests anti-global warming actions. It is very bad.

There are two more issues about Thailand. After the election, we may still have elective dictatorship. This kind of government misused power like the former case of rice mortgage.

-The minimum wage jumped to 300 Bahts. The rate of some provinces rose up to 100%. This caused a lot of problems to SMEs. In Prime Minister Prayut’s term, the maximum increase was only 22 Bahts. The employers complained that they could not survive with this rise.

Another case was the 15,000-Bahts minimum salary paid to the Bachelor’s Degree holders. If the vocational graduates are well-paid, more people will study at vocational colleges. Nowadays, a lot of Bachelor’s Degree holders are still unemployed. There is a vocational graduate shortage in Thailand. We should keep our eyes on some parties focusing on populism and colonial capitalism and unethical politics like universal amnesty bill.

Trump never stops boasting about colonial capitalism. He presented his U.S. economic policy success. Trump does not like the black people. He always says that, in his term, the unemployment rate in the U.S. is lowest.

It may be true.

Some black people say that everything should be not be measured in the quantitative aspect only. There should be evaluation whether Donald Trump give respect, love and dignity to the black people. He should not cite some figure as reference only.

I love the MP who used to be the back singer saying that Americana want the leaders with these qualities.

- Respect

- Giving people dignity

They are like my HRDS Theory comprising of these elements.

- Happiness

- Respect

- Dignity

- Sustainability

Finally, they must love one another. This should be a mandatory requirement for the rich and the poor.

Nowadays, black people see that the leader like Trump has superficial understanding. He sees everything from materialistic perspective. He uses figures as indicators. Instead of colonial capitalism, King Rama IX’s Philosophy focuses on Moral Capitalism. If there is election in Thailand, colonial capitalism will come back.

If we objectively look at Prime Minister Prayut, he always honors the grass-root people. He sincerely listens to their problems and solves them. He applies capitalism based on King Rama IX’s Philosophy. One example is Damrongdhama Center. If he can solve General Prawit’s watch problem, Thais or Prime Minister Prayut’s supporters will increase and continue supporting him.

Finally, I taught Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Class 16 Ph.D. students for the second week. It was very impressive. I assigned them to analyze educational reform. There were several interesting points. Every week, I try to share the conclusion of their discussion on the blog of Chiraacademy.com.

The main points on educational reform discussion were as follows.

1.There should be special policies for school dropouts. If they do not study, they can cause a lot of troubles to the society. There should be concrete policies on solutions.

2.The evaluation should not be based on publications or rewards only. It will be better to measure teaching approaches than positions and emoluments

3.Education network should be expanded by involving the outsiders to work with the public sector.

4.Learning must stimulate thinking skill and the application to the reality instead of rote-learning. This includes 4L’s and inspiration for learning as follows.

-Learning Methodology  

-Learning Environment  

-Learning Opportunities  

-Learning Communities  

Despite any obstacles, they must get things done and work with continuity.
