Now I can see the 'blending of ages' in clay and in people (with interest in arts). I had one out-of-this-world idea - that of "blending universes". Unfortunately, this goes against the "Big Bang" (that is the universe has an "origin"). But in "time" long enough, universes could go through "changes" (like birth, growth, decline, death - as in Buddhistic "characteristics of things') and many birhs, many growth, many deblines, many deaths in many billions years. Obviously, pointless (as the Buddha says) for human to comtemplate.
I see that 'death' in the hand of a young boy (probably a middle-eastern refugee) is a fearsome figure. Perhaps death is everywhere (in every culture) a dreadful thing and "life" is more desirable even with "sufferings"?
