“to have conviction about” = “มีความเชื่อมั่นในเรื่อง” หรือ
“to judge” หรือ “to think”
ส่วน “feel” แสดง “อารมณ์” มากกว่า “เหตุผล”
ทั้งสองคำสามารถใช้แทนกันได้ ในความหมายทั่วไป เช่น
“I feel (หรือ I believe) that we should go.”
หากแต่ มีความแตกต่าง ที่ต้องสังเกต เมื่อใช้ในประโยค เช่น
“I feel cheerful when I hear from you, because I believe you still like me.”

ถ้าคุณ “believe” บางคน หรือ“believe” ในสิ่งที่คุณพูด

‘Don’t believe anything you read in that newspaper.’
ถ้าคุณ “believe that” บางสิ่งเป็นความจริง

ข้อควรระวัง:
ไม่ใช้ “believe” ในรูป ‘progressive’ เช่น
ไม่ใช้ว่า “I am believing you.”
ให้ใช้ว่า “I believe you.” เช่น
‘I believe that these finding should be presented to your readers.’
แทนการกล่าวว่า “You believe that something is not true”
ปกติ ควรใช้ว่า “you don’t believe that it is true.” เช่น
‘I just don’t believe that Alan had anything to do with it.’
สามารถใช้ ว่า “it is believe that” บางสิ่งเป็นความจริง หรือ
ว่า “บางสิ่ง “is believed to be” ความจริง เช่น
สามารถกล่าวว่า “It is believe that” the building is 700 years old.”
หรือ “The building is believed to be 700 years old.” เช่น
‘It is believed that two prisoners have escaped.’
‘This is widely believed to be the tallest tree in England.’
ถ้าคุณ “believe in” บางสิ่ง หมายถึง คุณเชื่อว่ามันมีอยู่จริง เช่น
