การสร้างเครื่องมือแพทย์ราคาถูกใช้เอง
วันนี้เราไปเดินชมโปสเตอร์งานวิชาการทางการแพทย์และพยาบาล จู่ๆมีคนเข้ามาแนะนำตัวว่ารู้จักเราและเป็นหัวหน้าภาควิชาพยาบาลซะด้วย แต่เราลืมเธอไปแล้ว เลยมาจับมือถ่ายรูปกันมีพยานรู้เห็นมากคนว่าเราในฐานะวิศวกรเครื่องกลจะช่วยพัฒนาเครื่องมือราคาถูกมากทดแทนการนำเข้าดังนี้
๑. เครื่องให้ความอุ่นผู้ป่วยหลังการผ่าตัด
๒. เครื่องอบเด็กอ่อนในตู้
๓. เตียงลดแผลกดทับ
แถมยังมีเตียงช่วยการคลอดบุตรด้วย (เรื่องนี้ฝรั่งก็ยังไม่มีนะ)

๑. เครื่องให้ความอุ่นผู้ป่วยหลังการผ่าตัด - turn off the air cond. (Seriously would patients benefit from colder temperature while in trauma?)
๒. เครื่องอบเด็กอ่อนในตู้ - ภาษาไทย อ่านแล้วงง - humid cirb? (preterm baby) incubator? Babies need reliable environment in time of difficulties. Perhaps 'professional carers' should be more precise of what equipment is required for what condition of babies.
๓. เตียงลดแผลกดทับ - I read some posts on this (on g2k) and had some thoughts - ideally the bed must fit the patient and redistribute pressure from the wound to somewhere else. So the bed would need to be 'tailored fit' to the patient case by case. A (cotton) hummock with holes in the right places (for each patient) might be a starting idea ;-) Otherwise, try padding the patient in the right places ;-);-)
Here is a niche market for innovative people who willing to make money while being really useful to people in need. They may extend their services to other types of suffering.
