กระทรวงสิ่งแวดล้อมของจีนเปิดเผยเมื่อวันพฤหัสบดี ว่าพื้นดินขนาดมากกว่า 2 เท่าของประเทศสเปนได้รับการประเมินว่ามีมลพิษ
กระทรวงปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อมของจีนรายงานในเว็บไซต์ถึงผลสำรวจพื้นดิน 6.3 ล้าน ตร.กม. หรือ 2 ใน 3 ของพื้นที่ทั่วประเทศ พบว่า 16.1% เป็นดินที่มีมลพิษ สาเหตุหลักมาจากการทำเหมืองแร่และทำเกษตรกรรมที่ใช้สารเคมี มลพิษในดินมากกว่า 80% เกิดจากสารปนเปื้อนทางเคมี การสำรวจครั้งนี้ทำในช่วงปี 2548-2556
เมื่อปีที่แล้วกระทรวงสิ่งแวดล้อมไม่ยอมเปิดเผยผลสำรวจมลภาวะในดิน โดยอ้างว่าเป็นความลับของทางราชการ ซึ่งสร้างความไม่พอใจให้กับนักอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม
ช่วง 2-3 ปีที่ผ่านมา รัฐบาลจีนถูกกดดันมากขึ้นทุกทีที่จะต้องดำเนินการแก้ไขเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อม เนื่องจากหลายพื้นที่ต้องเผชิญกับหมอกควันหนาปกคลุม รวมไปถึงมลพิษทางแหล่งน้ำและในผืนดิน หลังจากถูกกดดันมากรัฐบาลจึงเริ่มให้ข้อมูลที่ถูกต้องเกี่ยวกับมลพิษในอากาศ
เมื่อปีที่แล้วกระทรวงสิ่งแวดล้อมเพิ่งยอมรับว่ามี "หมู่บ้านมะเร็ง" อยู่จริง หลังจากสื่อของจีนรายงานมาหลายปีว่าหมู่บ้านกว่า 100 แห่ง ชาวบ้านเผชิญมลพิษจนป่วยเป็นมะเร็งกันมาก.

BEIJING—The Chinese government has lifted the veil just a bit on a nationwide soil survey that it had classified as a state secret. The environment ministry posted a bulletin to its website yesterday divulging that 16% of sites tested during the 5-year survey are polluted. The report concludes, dryly, that China’s “overall national soil environment” is “not optimistic.”

(If you read down to here -- congratulations ;-) We have much the same causes for concerns: Thai-LAND is also being contaminated by internally overuse of chemicals in agriculture and uncontrolled use of chemicals in (manufacturing and processing) industiries; and from external sources via air movements, rivers and seas. Contamination data for Thailand is not readily available nor reliable yet. Not enough interests and investment in clean environment among government departments and academics are expressed in research and public relations. The consequences of contamination for public health and long term development of Thailand are being ignored for shorter term economic bottom lines.

It is rather sad to see 'our mother land with all glories and promises getting destroyed by 'love of money'. We can wish for a refreshing walk down the garden of our ancestors and see the joy of our children playing free in this garden land. We can dream UK and Germany dreams -- after spending so many billions dollars/euros cleaning up their environments.

อ่านแล้วก็เป็นความจริงเชิงประจักษ์ ที่น่าสะพรึงกลัว ....สารพิษ & สารปนเปื้อนในสิ่งแวดล้อม ในห่วงโซ่อาหารฯลฯ สุดท้ายส่งผลต่อคนเราในมิติต่างๆทั้ง สุขภาพ สังคม การศึกษา สติปัญญาของเด็กในสตรีที่ตั้งครรภ์ เมื่อได้รับสารพิษจากแหล่งต่างๆ
เหตุการณ์ในจีน หรือไทย หรือประเทศใดในโลกดูจะสะท้อนสังคมที่สนใจเงินตรา มากกว่าคุณภาพชีวิต หรือคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งมักจะสายเสียแล้ว ที่หาเงินมาได้ก็เอาไปรักษาตัว หรือนำเงินไปแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม อย่างกรณีในบ้านเมืองเรา การปนเปื้อนของตะกั่่วในห้วยคลิตี้ ที่มีประวัติการต่อสู้มายาวนาน เดิมพันด้วยชีวิต ถึงแม้จะชนะคดีความ แต่ผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและสุขภาพยังต้องเยียวยา ขณะนี้น้ำในห้วยยังมีปริมาณสารตะกั่วสูง สัตว์น้ำก็มีปริมาณสารตะกั่วสุง จับกินไม่ได้เพราะจะส่งผลต่อสุขภาพ ขณะนี้ยังจะต้องได้รับการฟื้นฟูต่อไป ...จากสภาพสายน้ำที่เป็นเสมือนสายเลือด หล่อเลี้ยงของชุมชน ..ผลของการทำธรุกิจแบบขาดเมตตา กรุณา และเคารพต่อเจ้าของพื้นที่ ที่อยุ่มาก่อน
และกรณีคล้ายๆกันก็มีอีกหลายที่ในบ้านเมืองเราดังข่าวที่เสนอออกไป หรือแม้กระทั่งอาหารการกินก็ปนเปื้อนด้วยความตั้งใจ ใส่ให้พืชผักสด กรอบ อาหารทะเลสด ล้วนแล้วต่อส่งผลต่อสุขภาพทั้งนั้น เราคงต้องร่วมมือกัน สร้างความตระหนัก สร้างเครือข่าย งดใช้สารเคมี หากรักชีวิตคนอื่น เช่นเดียวกับชีวิตตนเองแล้ว ..ขอบคุณค่ะSR..ที่รวบรวม link มาเตือนสติกันค่ะ :-))
