Course Description

Principles of course and materials design; communicative tasks; materials for skill development; materials design as part of materials adaptation; designing materials to suit target groups and their learning goals; course and materials evaluation

Course objectives

Students will have opportunities to:

  1. Learn the process of course and materials evaluation and design
  2. Familiarize themselves with needs assessment as the foundation of course and materials design within the context of the target course and apply the procedure to their related situation
  3. Understand the characteristics of good materials and tasks
  4. Evaluate, adapt and design materials for the target group
