มุมมองของฝรั่งเกี่ยวกับปัญหาของการศึกษาไทย

ผมได้รับข้อคิดเห็นในเรื่องเกี่ยวกับปัญหาของการศึกษาไทยจากเพื่อนฝรั่งคนหนึ่งที่อยู่เมืองไทยมานาน และรู้จักระบบการศึกษาไทยเป็นอย่างดีเนื่องจากแต่งงานกับคนไทยและมีลูกที่กำลังอยู่ในวัยเรียน

Indoctrination is ยัดเยียดความคิด

I thought about our education topic conversation the other day.

And, also I thought about my very personal reasons why I do NOT like the Thai educational system:

 ฉันนึกถึงการสนทนาของเราเกี่ยวกับเรื่องปัญหาด้านการศึกษาเมื่อวันก่อน  ก็เลยเขียนมาเพื่อแสดงข้อคิดเห็นส่วนตัวที่ทำไมฉันจึงไม่ชอบระบบการศึกษาของไทย

1^st    Far too big classes with too many students, therefore half of them need x-tra teachings (weekends). ห้องเรียนมีนักเรียนมากเกินไป ทำให้หลายคนเรียนไม่ได้ และต้องไปเรียนพิเศษ

2^nd  The system/methods are like in Europe in the early 50^th  (1950). เป็นระบบที่ล้าสมัย คือคล้ายกับการเรียนการสอนของยุโรปเมื่อห้าสิบกว่าปีที่แล้ว

3^rd   No modern approach, for kids in the 21^st century. (Sex education non existent, but parade walking, what no one needs, unless they go for an army career). ไม่มีการสอนสมัยใหม่ เช่นไม่มีการสอนเพศศึกษา แต่กลับมีเข้าแถวเดินแถว ซึ่งไม่มีประโยชน์ยกเว้นจะให้ลูกเป็นทหาร

4^th   Too late start with foreign languages, and outdated teaching methods which spoil the entire fun of learning. เริ่มเรียนภาษาต่างประเทศช้าเกินไป แถมยังสอนแบบโบราณอีกต่างหาก

5^th    Learning is based on fear (here teachers still carry a stick!!). สอนโดยใช้ความกลัว - ใช้ไม้เรียว

6th   The teachers are far tooooooo old, and they emphases on outdated values. ครูแก่เกินไป แล้วก็ยังเน้นความเชื่อเก่าๆ

7^th   Inadequate educational tools, no real field trips, no experience is the best teacher approach. ไม่มีเครื่องมือการสอนสมัยใหม่ ไม่มีการฝึกภาคสนาม และชอบใช้ครูที่ขาดประสบการณ์

8^th   School uniforms and hair cuts which undermine the feeling and development of an individuality/unique personality. ยังนิยมใช้เครื่องแบบ และบังคับเรื่องการตัดผม ซึ่งไม่เปิดโอกาสให้เด็กแสดงความเป็นส่วนตัว

9^th   Bad food (ice cream –candy- junk food vendors can sell their unhealthy sugar/colour/MSG  products freely). อาหารโรงเรียนขาดคุณภาพ ส่วนใหญ่เต็มไปด้วยน้ำตาล สีอาหาร ผงชูรส

10^th  Religious teachings. With the multi-cultural diversity today it only divides instead of unites children from different cultures. ยังมีข้อกำหนดเกี่ยวกับศาสนาเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง ซึ่งในยุคปัจจุบันที่มีคนรวมกันจากหลายศาสนา ข้อกำหนดดังกล่าวกลับกลายเป็นการแบ่งแยกมากกว่าเป็นความสามัคคี

11^th  Students must learn things by heart instead of knowing where to search for answers, therefore the brain is loaded with unnecessary stuff. นักเรียนต้องท่องจำแทนที่จะเป็นการเรียนรู้ว่าจะหาคำตอบได้จากที่ไหน ดังนั้น สมองจึงเต็มไปด้วยข้อมูลที่ไม่จำเป็นมากมาย

It is a good article, and a good idea.

I like that there is the Thai-sub-title each sentences.

I will get the ideas and some sentence of the writer to present about "Inadequate Education" in my class speaking. This is my permition ok!

Now i am going to search for ideas, informations, details.
