Cyclone Nargis Hits Burma: เมื่อนาร์กีสถล่มพม่า

เพื่อนบ้านเราประสบภัยพิบัติคราวนี้หนักหนาสาหัสทีเดียว เราในฐานะบ้านใกล้เรือนเคียงต้องเป็นผู้ช่วยเหลือรายแรกๆ คนทุกคนก็คือคนๆ เดียวกัน รักเพื่อนบ้านเหมือนญาติพี่น้อง เราจะได้อยู่กันอย่างสงบสุข มาดูว่ามีอะไรในข่าวบ้าง

Thai Red Cross has sent thirty tonnes of medical supplies and twelve tonnes of food suppliesto Burma.

สภากาชาดไทยได้ส่งเวชภัณฑ์ และอาหารไปช่วยเหลือชาวพม่า ส่วนรัฐบาลนั้นส่งเจ้าหน้าที่ไปช่วยเหลือทางการแพทย์ โดยรัฐบาลทหารพม่าอนุญาติให้เขาไปได้แล้ว

Furthermore, the Government of Thailand dispatched, upon the permission of the Burmese junta, twenty medical teams and twenty quick communicable disease suppression units.

The price of rice and other commodities has soared due to shortages following the cyclone that hit Burma over the weekend.

The Burmese regime has appealed for emergency aid from other countries for disaster relief, but locals have complained the government has so far done little to help the victims of the cyclone or deal with the damage caused.
