เพิ่งจะได้รับข่าวเมื่อวานนี้เองครับว่า วันเสาร์ที่จะถึงนี้จะไม่มีการทำงานใด ๆ ทั้งสิ้น และมีการเน้นย้ำว่าทุก ๆ คนได้หยุดแน่ ๆ ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่ชาวมุสลิม

 

อืมม์..แล้วเช้าวันนี้ เพิ่งมีโอกาสเห็นข่าวสารจากนายช่างโจ และรับทราบว่าเป็นวันเกิดของศาสดาของศาสนาอิสลาม แต่ยังไม่กระจ่างในความสำคัญของการหยุดในวันที่ 31 มีนาคม ว่า..ทำไมหยุดกันทั่วประเทศ และไม่แน่ใจว่าจะหยุดทั่วภูมิภาคอาหรับเลยหรือเปล่า

ลองค้นข้อมูลดู ปรากฏได้ข้อมูลมาว่า เป็นวัน Prophet's Birthday

 

Prophet ในพจนานุกรมของ Longman Dictionary แปลได้ว่า

1. a man who people in the Christian, Jewish, or Muslim religion believe has been sent by God to lead them and teach them their religion
2.the Prophet Muhammad, who began the Muslim religion
3.the Prophets the Jewish holy men whose writings form part of the Old Testament(=first part of the Bible), or the writings themselves
4.someone who claims that they know what will happen in the future
5.someone who introduces and spreads a new idea

และถ้าแปลเป็นไทย Prophet ก็คือศาสดา ผู้ทำนาย,ผู้พยากรณ์,ผู้ที่พระเจ้าดลใจมาสอนมนุษย์,ผู้เผยแพร่,ผู้รู้เหตุการณ์ล่วงหน้า และถ้าไปดูที่คำว่า Prophet Muhammad ปรากฎว่าแปลเป็นไทยคือ ทูตสวรรค์หรือศาสดาของศาสนาอิสลาม


ว่าแต่ ศาสดามีวันเกิดวันที่ 31 มีนาคม จริงเหรอ และชื่ออะไร ?

ปรากฏว่าเฉพาะในปี 2007 เท่านั้นครับ (Islamic Calendar ไม่ตรงกับ Western Calendar)
