เมื่อวันที่23เมษายน 2562 International Ranking Expert Group (IREG) ได้ประชาสัมพันธ์การจัดอันดับองค์กรที่มีผลงานด้านการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมที่มีผลกระทบในระดับสากลประจำปี ค.ศ. 2019 ที่รู้จักกันในทั่วไปว่า ScimagoInstitutions Rankings 2019 ที่ http://ireg-observatory.org/en/991-scimago-measures-research-innovation-and-societa;-impact
เมื่อเข้าไปดู ScimagoInstitutions Rankings 2019 พบว่ามีองค์กรที่ได้รับการจัดอันดับ 6,459แห่ง จากทุกภูมิภาคของโลก มีทั้งที่เป็นสถาบันอุดมศึกษาองค์กรทางด้านสุขภาพ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน โดยมีรายละเอียดปรากฏอยู่ที่ https://www.scimagoir.com/rankings.php
การจัดอันดับองค์กรในภาพรวมทั้งด้านการวิจัย(Research), นวัตกรรม (Innovation) และผลกระทบต่อสังคม (Societal Impact) โดย Scimago Lab แห่งกรุง Madrid ประเทศสเปน อาศัยข้อมูลหลักจากฐานข้อมูลScopus ของสำนัก Elsevier B.V. ประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ปรากฏผลอันดับโลกที่น่าสนใจ ดังต่อไปนี้
