พจนานุกรมไทย (ราชบัณฑิตยสถาน ฉบับแท็บเล็ต) อีกครั้ง
We all know that we must strive for sufficiency (ความพอเพียง). As we are not yet sufficient in our Thai language study and use, we must amend our situation. The Thai Royal Institute can provide a major leadership by giving equal opportunity to all Thai to have access to the Standard Thai Language reference - the Royal Institute Thai Dictionary.
I started to call upon the Thai Royal Institute for a release of their Thai-Thai dictionary for use offline on electronic media (such as computers, tablets and phones) in April this year. I proposed to have a Stardict formatted dictionary installed and distributed on OTPC tablets which are issued to school students and also to dustribute free of charge to all students and the public in the interest of improving Thai language study and use.
Since then twice I sent the same request to: [email protected], and [email protected] and involved parties in the Ministry of Education. Well, I am doing it again. Perhaps with your help in making the same request with me, we, Thais will get a New Year present this time. You can follow the development in these links:

I have converted a พจนานุกรมพุทธศาสตร์ ฉบับประมวลศัพท์ authored by พระพรหมคุณาภรณ์ (ป.อ. ปยุตฺโต) วัดญาณเวศกวัน [Phra Brahmabunabhorn (P. A. Payutto) Wat Nyanavesakavan Thailand] to Stardict format (for use offline on Linux, MacOS and Windows, Android tablets and phones) and have a permission to distribute it. You can have a copy free.

ราชบัณฑิตยสถานกำลังจัดพิมพ์พจนานุกรม ฉบับราชบัณฑิตยสถาน พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๔ หลังจากนั้นจะให้เอกชนใช้สิทธิจัดพิมพ์และจำหน่าย และจะได้พิจารณาทำ app. ต่อไป

ทำไมไม่เปิดให้โหลดพจนานุกรมฟรี?
ในเว็บนี้ไม่เห็นมีลิงก์ให้ดาวน์โหลดพจนานุกรมเลย สำหรับคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ไม่ได้ต่อเน็ต จะได้เปิดใช้งานได้ ถ้าผมเป็นผู้ใหญ่ในราชบัณฑิตฯ จะสั่งให้ทำลิงก์อนุญาตให้ประชาชนมาโหลดพจนานุกรมไปใช้ได้ฟรีๆ ไม่คิดเงิน เพื่อเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประเทศชาติต่อไป

สำหรับท่านที่ไม่ได้ต่ออินเทอร์เน็ต ขอแนะนำให้ใช้ CD พจนานุกรม ฉบับราชบัณฑิตยสถาน จำหน่ายราคาแผ่นละ ๕๐ บาท ทั้งนี้ จะรับความเห็นนี้ไปเสนอผู้บริหารเพื่อทราบต่อไปค่ะ

คือผมอยากได้โปรแกรมพจนานุกรมของราชบัณฑิตยสถาน ติดตั้งไว้ในเครื่องครับ แบบพจนานุกรมปีล่าสุดครับ หาซื้อได้ที่ไหนครับ หรือแจกให้ใช้ฟรี ผมอยากได้มากๆ

Dear khun SR,
I do appreciate and support your idea of calling upon the Thai Royal Institute for providing what you call "a Stardict formatted dictionary" installed and distributed on OTPC tablets which are issued to school students and also to distribute free of charge to all students and the public in the interest of improving Thai language study and use. Yet, my idea, the traditional dictionary for use offline still be needed for ones who cannot access IT.
By the way, I wonder why all links you referred to cannot be accessed.

เห็นคุณ Sr ตั้งใจอย่างนี้แล้ว ผมสรุปว่าทำแน่ครับ คุณ Sr ทำฐานข้อมูล ผมเขียนโปรแกรม ใส่ Google Play ให้ดาวน์โหลดฟรี คิดว่าน่าจะผิดลิขสิทธิ์ของราชบัณฑิต แต่เดี๋ยวนี้เขานิยม "อารยะขัดขืน" เราก็เอามั่งแต่กับราชบัณฑิตก็น่าสนุกดีครับ
Dear ไอดิน-กลิ่นไม้ : We think that having easy access to the standard Thai language reference should entice students and the public at large to improve their Thai language study and use. As it is only government offices recieve a free (printed) copies of the Royal Institute Thai Dictionaries. Because each office only receive one copy, the dictionary very likely gets stored in a "show cabinet" and never gets used. Online dictionary is fine when the Internet is going well. Offline dictionary is for more uses.
Thank you for pointing that out. I apologize for not making the link clickable earlier. Now all urls are clickable. By the way do you know that you can select any url, right click to see a list of options including "open the link..."? Perhaps I should ask for support from G2K what happened to the behaviour I used before -- the paste retaining text formatting and the auto encoding of url data?
Hi ธวัชชัย : Thank you for your strong support for free distribution of RI Thai Dictionary.
We are asking for a permission as a courteous and right way to help improve Thailand's human development. We will keep our veracity but increase our voices. When we have had enough with indecision and petty politics then we may develop a people's Thai dictionary (like a wikipedia) -- by the people for the people -- and have all the Thai words and meanings we want to have.
If we have to go "that" way, then we will need your app building skills ;-) For now we will wait for a New Year present. A happy New Year 2557 ;-) ;-) ;-)
