How to use ICT and social net work for teaching learning and supervising
As one of my facebook Thai friends want to share about how to use social network for supervising,so my blog here will discuss about it. Anyways for more scope of discussion the topic I would like to propose here is:
" How ICT and Social network will be valuable for teaching learning and supervising.

When I assigned my students to do some simple thing like introducing themselves, I found that they really enjoyed when they did it by using ICT. It's not "dry" like writing only. They integrated their knowledge of computer and English. Their work was so interesting and they all were so eager to present their (master piece of) work. More over, they all said that their parents were satisfied to see such a work and they can keep it. I think it's worth working for them.
Recently my students had a travel guides project with two partner schools in Indonesia and Kasakhstan, they were so enthusiastic to share their knowledge with new friends through ICT. It seemed to be easier than having them write and of course it was more interesting. They could finish their project in a very short time.
However, it's a need for teacher to have a good plan. To tell them clearly about the aim of that work and the steps is helpful.

There are many ways to use ICT in teaching. As we know nowadays students use a lot of technology in their real life. They got bored from the old style teaching "chalk and talk" it isn't interesting for them. When the world has changed, the teaching technique has to be changed too.
Nowadays, to teach them to concern about the global issue, we can use YouTube to show how human did to the earth and what the result is. There are many video clips for you to choose. But I'd suggest you to use cartoon or animation because with its color and funny story students will remember it. And cartoon is the best way to communicate with clearly speaks and students understand it easier than documentary clips.
Another one is the best library (Information’s stock) in the world called “Google” it’s the best friend as well as the worst friend for students. All the information they want for their project, they search “Google”. All their presentations, pictures, music, they search from “Google” and also every translate job that they have to make a paragraph by themselves … “they do it in Google Translate” without know what Google has translated for them. Yes, it good to get useful knowledge from that website but sometimes students use it in the wrong way. It’s easy to say “Just use Google” or “go Google”
As we know human is a social animal and using language to “Communicate”. The aim of studying foreign language is to communicate. Students would be able to communicate with other people. So internet is the best way to practice what they have learned. There are many website to choose. Facebook, hi5, twister, tagged, spaces, .etc at those websites they have many activities for people to join and meet new people. For my school, we choose the website called “students of the world” it’s for people who want to have pen friends both e-mail and snail mail (post). The website will be the agent to the students by sending them the e-mail to notice them that there’s someone want to be your friend. And my students enjoyed this activity so much. They got a mail from Korea with many gifts from Korea and they sent something from Thailand back to those friends too. This activity shows that they can use what they learn in their real life, it affects to their life. They also said they use the grammar that they studied in class a lot.
I found that many students know a lot of vocabulary from the games they play. They search the meaning by themselves because the game use English and they said, if they didn’t understand what the game wanted, they couldn’t finish the game. Teacher can use this strong point to teach them that they can learn from what they play, not just only play. Some watch movies and read only the subtitle. We have to project that students make their own movies. Watch a movie and create it, make dialogue themselves, and acted themselves. Then they uploaded on YouTube and got many comments from other people.
So I can say that, now when everything has changed. Teacher need to keep up with the world. We have to use new teaching aids to make it more interesting and easy to understand. Teach them to use the technology in the right way. Not only play games, watching for the clip, and download illegal stuff on the internet but they can learn everything around them even it’s just a game or clip video. They can learn the structures, vocabulary, accent, the way to pronounce worlds, practice using, and the most important thing is they know that they are not alone in this world. They are global citizen, they have to live with other billions people in this world.

I do agree with Pah.
I Just like to add some, for me I sometimes give assignments via email and facebook since many of my students are my fb friends. My partners in many countries we communicate there also it’s more convenience and we can find some other friend around the world.
As teacher, we can use ICT in the curriculum to help improve students learn.
For student, ICT can provide them better learning opportunities and practicing necessary skills for their careers in the future
As a global citizen, ICT can help break down cultural and languages barriers and keeps PEACE prevail on Earth!

Bern need 2 teachers and two students from 8 school who will participate on the BCCC in Bangkok on 11-13 March within Monday 28 ka. Have you got all of them, for wattano and Yupparaj we will send email directly to Bern tomorrow ka.
Now we are quite busy on final exams and grading. Also we have to design the ISA projects for exhibition ka. Please keep in touch incase we need something to complete the preparation.

For the conclusion of what we have discussed.
As we all are now teachers and also David Mathias and Oak’ s students.We are thought to use online projects those are on http://cc.britishcouncil.org ,such as travel guides project which Mayuree mentioned. It is also one of teaching methods that we use ICT

We can use ICT for teaching and learning variety ways such as
email,online projects,utube/movies that we can watch and movies that we can upload on utube, social network,websites such as “students of the world,
and also google,the search engine. And lots of things provide in googles.As I know and use now are google calendar, google translation,google earth.
