จดหมายจากแม่สอด

ทางโรงเรียนใคร่ขอให้ผู้มีจิตอาสา
ช่วยประสานกับเครือข่ายที่มีใจเมตตา
มาช่วยสนับสนุนงบประมาณและปัจจัยอื่นๆ กับทางโรงเรียน
เพื่อให้โรงเรียนนี้สามารถเปิดดำเนินการต่อไปได้
สวัสดีค่ะ อาจารย์ประภา
ส่งความสุขมาให้จากแม่สอดค่ะ
ทางโรงเรียนแสงสว่าง (Light School)
ซึ่งเป็นโรงเรียนสำหรับเด็กอพยพชาวพม่า
กำลังต้องการความช่วยเหลืออย่างเร่งด่วน
โดยเฉพาะงบประมาณในการบริหารโรงเรียนในปีการศึกษา 2552-53 นี้
จากที่เคยเล่าให้ฟังครั้งที่ทีมอาสาสมัครของอาจารย์มาช่วยจัดหลักสูตรพัฒนาครูพม่า
ในเรื่องของ "การนำเรื่องคุณค่าชีวิต"
เข้าไปในการเรียนการสอนเด็กๆ
ว่าเราได้รับงบประมาณสนับสนุนจากองค์กรกุศลต่างๆ เป็นครั้งคราว
แต่สำหรับปีการศึกษานี้งบประมาณที่ได้ติดต่อไป
ขัดข้องหลายประการทำให้เราขาดปัจจัยในการบริหาร
ซึ่งงบประมาณต่อเดือนจะตกประมาณ 40,000
บาท สำหรับเงินเดือนครู 8 คน และเจ้าหน้าที่ 2 คน
และเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นๆ ของโรงเรียนด้วย
โรงเรียนของเรามีนักเรียนทั้งสิ้น 136
คน ตั้งแต่ระดับปฐมวัย อายุ 2-3 ปี จนถึงอายุ 15-16 ปี
ซึ่งทั้งหมดเป็นเด็กพม่าเชื้อสายต่างๆ
การศึกษาที่โรงเรียนจะฟรีทั้งหมด เด็กๆ
และครอบครัวไม่ต้องจ่ายค่าเล่าเรียน
และโรงเรียนได้จัดอาหารเลี้ยงเด็กๆ
รวมถึงสวัสดิการด้านการรักษาพยาบาลด้วย
จากจำนวนนักเรียนทั้งหมด จะเป็นนักเรียนประจำ 60 คน
ซึ่งครอบครัวที่อยู่ทางพม่าส่งให้มาเรียนหนังสือที่เรา
เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้กับชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น
และเป็นการแยกเด็กให้ห่างจากปัญหาความขัดแย้งความรุนแรงที่มีอยู่ในพม่า
ทางโรงเรียนใคร่ขอให้ผู้มีจิตอาสาช่วยประสานกับเครือข่ายที่มีใจเมตตา
มาช่วยสนับสนุนงบประมาณและปัจจัยอื่นๆ กับทางโรงเรียน
เพื่อให้โรงเรียนนี้สามารถเปิดดำเนินการต่อไปได้
ทั้งนี้
ดิฉันและทีมอาสาสมัครได้ร่างโครงการเสนอขอรับการสนับสนุนเสร็จแล้ว
และพร้อมจะจัดส่งไปยังหน่วยงานที่สนใจอนุเคราะห์ช่วยเหลือ

Greetings from Maesot!
I am writing to you actually to ask your help if in any case it is not much to ask. We are mobilizing funding to secure the yearly operation of Light School. In terms of funding needs, the aspect that we need to secure funding at least for a year operations is the monthly operational cost of our school which basically amounts to 40 000 Thai Baht/1 000 Euro every month which covers the monthly salary of 10 local school staffs and monthly miscellaneous costs of the school. If we can have the funding even for the operational cost of the school for at least for the school 2009 - 2010, and maybe beyond depending on the funding opportunities and generosity that would befalls us, the school is secure enough to operate. Other funding needs can be possibly sort out by doing some alternative fund raising, which usually we do from time to time.
The school project of my organization - Light School caters to 136 migrant kids from Burma from different ethnic backgrounds. We offer them almost everything for free since their parents and family cannot afford anything at all. We actually provide them with meals, health and medical assistance, and anything related to their educational and psycho-social needs as kids. We have 60 boarding kids and most of these kids come from inside Burma. Their parents sent them to our school to study and for them to have better chances of being away from conflict and also to have educational opportunities. We provide them for almost everything they need to have comfort at the school.
I am just wondering if in any case your organizations or you have contact organizations and people who might have that BIG Heart to extend financial assistance to our school and to the children the school is serving. Hope you can be of help in whatever way. Hope to hear from you. Good luck!
