Present Continuous (I am doing)

Present Continuous จากที่อ่านหนังสือผ่านตามาและได้ยินได้ฟังมา ค่อนข้างใช้มากทีเดียวในภาษาอังกฤษ วันนี้มาดูกันดีกว่ารายละเอียดมัีนเป็นยังงัย 

A. Example situation:

"Sarah is in her car. She is on her way to work. She is driving to work." 

หมายความว่า: ขณะที่เธอพูดเธอกำลัีงขับรถไปทำงานอยู่, การกระทำยังไม่จบ

Present Conitnuous => is/am/are + -ing 

I am 

he/she/it is

we/you/the are   

driving

working

doing etc. 

B. I am doing something.<ul>

  • Please don't make so much noise. I'm trying to work. (not I try)
  • Where's Mark? He's having a shower. (not He has a shower)
  • Let's go out now. It isn't raining any more. (not It doesnt rain.)
  • Hello, Jane. Are you enjoing the parte? (not Do you enjoy)
  • What's all that noise? What's going on? (= What's happening?)

    • </ul><p>การกระทำไม่จำเป็นต้องเกิดขึ้นตลอดเวลาที่พูดก็ได้ ตัวอย่างเช่น:</p><p>Steve กำลังพูดกับเพื่อนทางโทรศัพท์ เขาพูดว่า:</p><p>” I’m reading a really good book at the moment. It’s about a man who….”</p><p>Steve ไม่ได้กำลังอ่านหนังสือขณะที่พูด, เขาหมายความว่าเขาเริ่มอ่านมัน แต่ยังอ่านมันไม่เสร็จ เขาอยู่ระหว่างกำลังอ่านมัน</p><p>ตัวอย่างอื่นๆ</p><ul>

  •  Kate want to work in Italy, so She's learning Italian. (แต่ในขณะที่พูดเขาไม่ได้กำลังเรียนอยู่)
  • Some friends of mine are building there own house.They hope to finish it next summer.

    • </ul><hr width="100%" size="2"><p>C. เราสามารถใช้ Present Continuous กับ Today /Thisweek / This year </p><ul>

  •  You're working hard today (not You work hard today)  Yes, I have a lot to do.
  • The Company I work for isn't doing so well this year.

    • </ul><hr width="100%" size="2"><p> D. เราใช้ Present Continuous เมื่อเราพูดถึง การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นรอบๆ ปัจจุบัน, โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกับ Verb (กริยา) พวกนี้:</p><p>get    change    becom    increase    rise    fall    grow    improve    begin    start </p><ul>

  •  Is your English getting better? (not Does your English get better?)
  • The population of the world is increasing very fast. (not increased)
  • At first I didn't like my job, but I'm beginning to enjoy it now.(not I begin)
