รหัสโรคจะมี 2 องค์ประกอบ คือ
1 การระบุอวัยวะ หรือระบบอวัยวะ Body structure
2 การระบุพยาธิวิทยา Pathology ซึ่งจะอยู่ในกลุ่ม Morphologic abnormality
