War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.

I can think of alternative interpretations for others but the first one.
“Freedom” can enslave people who are extreme in their liberty. To me if we consider ‘freedom’ as ideal to achieve together with other qualities of life (clean food, clean air and water, cooler world,…) we would be far happier.—-“ignorance” can be used as a tool (many politicians use ignorance to excuse themselves of corrupt activities and to deceive voters of their virtues. Strength is also a tool, many uses strength and ignorance alternatively to get what they want.—-As for “profit” and “loss” there are many (account books) aspects or objectives to be consider. For a simple case, we can see that ‘losing oil and machinery’ can be a big ‘profit’ for our next generations. So which side (of accounting) are we on?—-But this ‘War is Peace’ has me stumped. If the word “is” is replaced by “leads to”, we would have a normal way of the world. The reverse ‘Peace is War’ is quite easy to find probable circumstances. Aren’t we warring to win peace?—-No! We should not accept making wars so we will have peace at the end. ;-)

Aren’t we warring to win peace? ในบริบทของการเมืองไทย เขาคงกำลังทะเลาะกันเพื่อนำความสงบสุขมาสู่ไทย แต่ Peace ของสองฝ่ายคงมีความหมายต่างกันกระมังคะ ฝ่ายใดชนะ ก็คงทำให้อีกฝ่ายขาดความสงบสุขอยู่ดีนะคะขอบคุณอีกครั้งที่ให้ความรู้ค่ะ
