แต่เดิม ถือว่า ไม่ถูกต้องเมื่อกล่าวว่า ‘being angry at someone’
หากแต่ ปัจจุบัน ยอมรับแล้ว ว่าใช้ได้
ให้ข้อสังเกตุ การใช้ คุณศัพท์ ‘MAD’
ความหมาย คือ MAD คือ “enraged, angry”
ใช้มาตั้งแต่ศตวรรษที่ 13 เป็นความหมายใช้ทั่วไป
เพราะ ครูและผู้วิเคราะห์การใช้ เน้นย้ำ “ความหมายที่ถูกต้องของ MAD
คือ “MENTALLY DISTURBED” หรือ “INSANE”
การใช้ในเนื้อหาเป็นทางการ มักใช้ “ANGRY. แทนที่ mad เช่น
‘The president is angry at Congress for overriding his veto.”
