Woman’s rant about Thai rice causes uproar in Thailand

A video showing an Asian-American woman’s bizarre way of cooking rice has upset some Thai people. In the 4-minute video, the woman is shown to be frying Thai jasmine rice in a wok on high heat, which scorched the rice.

The video went viral in Thailand after it was shared by a popular Facebook page Drama Addict. Throngs of Thai Facebook users posted angry comments on the video, attempting the protect the reputation of the world-famous Thai jasmine rice.
