Acknowledge และ Admit

“admit” ว่า “ad-mit” (เน้น พยางค์ หลัง)

ว่า ”ไม่ถูกต้อง” “น่าอับอาย” หรือ “ไม่สมควร”
‘The admitted under questioning that he had falsified his resume.’
‘The culprit admitted the crime.’
(AHD) ให้คำพ้องความหมายกับ “acknowledge” และ “admit”
รวมถึง “own” “confess” และ “concede”
โดย “own” หรือเมื่อใช้ทั่วไป มากกว่า เป็นวลี “own up”
