ผู้ใหญ่ วันนี้ คือภาระของเด็ก วันหน้า!

The slogan for this year Childrens Day is: "เด็กดี หมั่นเพียร เรียนรู้ สู่อนาคต". And I wondered if this year will be any different. Every year we come up with a new 'model' (slogan) for our children. Just like cars, mobile phones, PC and TV, we start the new year with new advertising campaign and keep on changing our models (of children). Will our children actually believe in what we say (or ask them to be)? Will we ever settle down and try a more long lasting and better model (for our children? We can't just experiment on our children with new education policies and practices (so-called 'reforms') every year (and every change of government a change of direction). We can't just lead our children around in a merry-go-around on and on in 'our playground...

(The picture is a 'selfie' of a cockatoo with a king parrot in a tree, a muscovite duck, and a peacock. They are 'like' my children. No children's day. No model of expectation. No slogan. But bonding in harmony. ;-)

This article is quite provoking and true in our 'aging society'. We (traditionally) expect our children to respect and look after us. The same as in Chinese societies [especially in the PRC when one-child policy resulted in 1- more male than female; 2- each man may have to work to support his own family (wife and kids), his parents and his wife's parents; a heavy onus on a grown up man.]

แผ่นแรก อวดเอกลักษณ์ยะลาที่เป็นจริง "เมืองสะอาด" ตามด้วย "เมืองสีเขียว" ตามด้วย "เมืองแห่งความสมานฉันท์" และตามด้วย "เมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้"
ไปถึงเดือนกันยา บอกยะลาเป็น "เมืองสุขภาพ" เดือนตุลาเป็น "เมืองเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์"....และธันวา
สะท้อนความเป็นยะลาที่คนภายนอก "หลับตา" วาดภาพด้วยครั่นคร้ามให้รู้ "ของจริง" วันนี้ว่า
"ยะลา...น่าอยู่ สู่ความยั่งยืน"!
นี่...ตัวอย่าง "สร้างคน" ไป "สร้างเมือง" ซึ่งคนเมืองยะลาตั้งแต่เด็กยันคนแก่ ยืนหยัดร่วมสู้ด้วยกันในทุกสถานการณ์ถึงทุกวันนี้
