This Legal Research and Advocacy Project is initiated to be not only a study to obtain knowledge, but also an “action research” to solve disadvantage problems of the target groups of the study. Furthermore, this Project has its ultimate aim to propose a strategy to systematically and sustainably address these disadvantage problems of transnational children and their family by doing a test-case and developing a prototype of legal advocacy procedure for each case. Under the Project, disadvantaged children and their family in these four situations are examined:

1. Children and youth in places for health and well-being

(i.e. hospitals, educational institutes and families);

2. Children and youth in economic spaces

(i.e. economic market and workplaces);

3. Children and youth in their own family's habitation

(i.e. forest, national park and others);

4. Children and youth in high risk areas for human rights violation

(i.e. immigration detention center, juvenile observation center, prison, temporary shelters and other high risk areas).
