We all don't like anger, but we always get angry. Learn how to cope it.

                                  Anger management

Anger is a normal human emotion appearing when we perceive the world in the view that we don’t like. So it’s normal for everyone to feel it. But you can see  some people look calm and seldom express their anger while some people look tensed and always express their anger. Why and How ?

Although it’s our norm but the more we have anger the more problems we create. Anger brings us many problems in terms of health, work and social well being . It leads to headache, hypertension, heart disease, stomach and bowel disease, infectious disease...etc. Anger lowers our productivity and efficiency in work and create even more disputes in social relationship.

Most people don’t like it and know the adverse effects of anger but it always occurs in our daily life. In a bad new there is a good new. We can manage our anger . We can reduce its severity and its frequency. And today I will tell you the basics of  Anger management.

We perceive the world via our 5 sensory organs - eye, ear, nose, tongue and skin. Our brain will response these signals and cooperate with our mind to interpret the result. We all have different brains and minds, so our perception results are all different . This is the reason why some people experience more angry while others less.

The mechanism of anger start at the moment we see, hear, smell, taste or touch things that we don’t like . The brain will produce the substances and hormones that make us angry . The good new is once these bad substances are secreted, they stay in our body  only for 90 seconds.  This means that if we can stand our anger for 90 seconds, it will disappear and our mood will return to normal .

But the bad new is most people can’t wait 90 seconds, they always stimulate their anger process by themselves via their mind to their brain. So the technique for managing our anger  is to train our mind to change our brain.

              The Technique is very easy.

  • Be aware our anger feeling as quickly as possible.
  • Stop our attention of that perception.
  • Transfer the attention to our breathing.
  • Observe our anger feeling. ( presence, decline, subside and disappear)
  • Greeting our success.

The success of anger management depends on our attitude on our anger. If we strongly dislike it or it causes us many troubles, we can encourage and empower ourselves to do it . And the key for success is ... Practice, Practice and Practice.
