Verbs  Tenses

 
 

Verb Tenses ( กาล ) เป็นรูปแบบของคำกริยาที่บอกความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการกระทำกับเวลาที่เกิดขึ้น ความต่อเนื่องของการกระทำ ความเสร็จสมบูรณ์ของการกระทำ  

I. รูปของ Verb Tenses

คำว่า Verb Tenses ตามไวยากรณ์เป็นการรวมกันระหว่าง 

  • Tense ซึ่งหมายถึงเวลาที่เกิดขึ้นซึ่งได้แก่   past ( อดีต ) present ( ปัจจุบัน )และ future ( อนาคต )
  • Aspect ซึ่งหมาย ถึงว่าสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นนั้นจบลงแล้วหรือยังดำเนินการอยู่  มี 2 รูปแบบ
    • จบลงแล้ว (Complete Tenses หรือ Perfect Tenses)   แสดงด้วย   Have + past participle   มี 3 รูป
      • Past Perfect
      • Present Perfect
      • Future Perfect
    • หรือยังดำเนินการอยู่  ( Incomplete หรือ Progressive หรือ  continuous )   แสดงด้วย  BE + ing   มี  3 รูป
      • Past Progressive
      • Present Progressive
      • Future Progressive

    Tenses ที่เหลือนอกจาก 2 รูปแบบข้างต้นได้แก่

    • Simple Tense มี 3 รูป
      • Simple Past
      • Simple Present
      • Simple Future
    • การรวมกันของ Complete และ Incomplete  Tenses
      • Past Perfect Progressive
      • Present Perfect Progressive
      • Future Perfect Progressive

เมื่อสรุปรวมแล้ว   Verb Tense มีทั้งหมด 12 รูป

หมายเหตุ   progressive  คือ  continuous

II. โครงสร้าง Verb Tenses ในประโยค

โครงสร้างพื้นฐานของTense ในประโยค positive sentence ประกอบด้วย

subject + auxiliary verb + main verb

auxiliary verb ใช้ในทุก tense    โดยใน simple present และ  simple past tenses นั้น auxiliary verb ใช้ในการเน้นความ     ตารางต่อไปนี้เป็นการแสดงโครงสร้างการใช้ Tense  ใน active voice.

I did work. ฉันทำงานจริงๆ ( เป็นการเน้น ) เช่นเดียวกับ I do work.

III. Verb Tenses กับ เวลา

เราจะต้องไม่สับสนระหว่างชื่อของ tense กับเวลา เช่น  present tense  ไม่ได้หมายถึง เวลาปัจจุบัน เสมอไป ตัวอย่าง

I hope it rains tomorrow. ฉันหวังว่าฝนจะตกพรุุ่งนี้
( rains เป็น present simple แต่ใช้ในความหมายเวลาในอนาคต )

หรือ   past  tense ไม่ได้หมายถึงเวลาในอดีตเสมอไป  ตัวอย่าง

If I had some money now, I could buy it . ถ้าฉันมีเงินเดี๋ยวนี้ ฉันจะซื้อมัน
(had เป็น past tense แต่่ใช้ในความหมายเป็นเวลาในปัจจุบัน )

We have been working for four hours.  
Past Simple I finished one hour ago. If she loved you now, she would marry you. If you came tomorrow, you would see her.
Past Continuous I was working at 2am this morning.    
Past Perfect Simple I had not eaten for 24 hours.    
Past Perfect Continuous We had been working for 3 hours. If I had been working now, I would have missed you. If I had been working tomorrow, I could not have agreed.
Future Simple   Hold on. I'll do it now. I'll see you tomorrow.
Future Continuous     I will be working at 9pm tonight.
Future Perfect Simple     I will have finished by 9pm tonight.
We will have been married for ten years next month.
Future Perfect Continuous     They may be tired when you arrive because they will have been working.
In 30 minutes, we will have been working for four hours.
