The second day of R&D 2553 in samooth songkram during 29-30 Jyly 2553

 

I get up early as usual even I go to bed at 01.30 but I dont want to annoy my friends so I have to continue staying on the bed until 05.30 AM. After moring bath we go out at 06.00 to have “Tuk Bat” to 3 monks on request of our team Khun Pichai who want to do that to the monk that come by a small boat that we cannot do so in other place. Most monk come by foot on land. But here it was different. It has full of water ways so the monks have to come by a small boat.

 

Our teacher, Dr. Tipawal , introduce us to have a right way of meditation after “Tuk Bat” to the 3 monks. She teach us not only world classes but also moral practice that can make our life to live better and efficiently. After meditation, we enjoy boat exercise for long time. Several go to the small boats and have a good exercise in the morning in the canel.

 

The small boat that sell “kuai taew+ rua” reach us at around 08.00 and on average we have around 3 boals of it. The sellor told us the champion took 20 boals a meal and have free eating. Ofcause we did pain 10 baht/bowl. Later, another boat carry several sweet and drink to us. I enjoy eating another “kanom tal” after breakfast.

 

We leave the home stay at around 09.30 and go to another location that can have legal forest industry in Thailand. All areas in Thailand was inhibit by law to have forest industry except this place because it have an out standing leader that convince government to allow him and hias neighbor to have authority to cut the forest to make charcoal energy for sale.

 

 

If government follow his pilot project on forest industry then I am sure the problem of lacking of TH forest will be gone. His philosophy is letting the farmer to protect the forest by themselve. By that way after they cut the trees they will putting the new plant as fast as possiblel and newforest will happen to absorb carbondioxide much more efficiently than old forest that was cutting without putting new plants.

 

In this area, the economical plant was named “Kong Kang”, it can produce high quality charcoal that have low ash and less fire work.

 

After the plant was cutted down , it need more than ten year to have new plant, however, all areas are green without any hole among those farmers. Ofcause have of areas were now not belong to them but belong to one company and farmer cannot produce charcoal because it need more than 10 years long but it allow to rent only at one year long. Several of them destroy TH resource severely by producing shrimp farm instead.

 

The leader we visit has 7 stove to produce charcoal. He gave us a lot of knowledge how to make good quality charcoal but the problem is he can sell it at cost only 15 baht per kg while nearby location sell it at cost 30 baht per kg. Ofcause some company offer him at much higher cost but he cannot sell them because regulrar customer will punish him.

 

The most of stove belong to Chinese technology and the danger is now that chinese man was died and noone can made a new oven for him.

 

He has one more japanese oven donated by some organization. And all of the oven was equipt with khun Soranapong technology of vinegar from burning smoke.

 

He follow Self-Sufficient Economy philosophy principle in several approach. All techonlogy belong to himself and he reduced the risk by opening several method and products. Two interesting product are 1. charcoal from waste and 2. cloth color from sea wood. Near him, it has an OTOP shop produing hand made cloth and several of us order cloth from this shop before we leave.

 

He told us he need to pay around 30,000 baht a month to let the government to move watste product from charcoal. So he need waste burning stove in near by location but so far it did not happen. Actually that waste is not waste but valuable resource in siilar to “Khii Dad Na Klue” we met on the first day. But so far it has no research for it to turn this valuable product to money.

 

Again the limiting factor for his success is his leadership that can convince government to let him to cut the forest legally and produce good quality charcoal.

 

We have a good lunch at low cost after we left his farm.

 

After the lunch, khun Soranapong introduce us another person who give us information of museum that the Royal Crown Princess come to open it.

 

Again, the limiting factor of her success is to introduce important person to protect their culture. This is “Reverse Threshold Model” spill over Thai culture. I may explain it later if I have time.

 

We leave museum at around 02.30 and go to another place to have new guest and follow our good moral practice to monk in the temple.

 

We have new discussion on topic “Economic solotion”

Actually, this topic was ignored for very long long time in all agriculture school in Thailand. Because we follow bad methods of separeted teaching.

How come the farmers can live happily if all of them are full of debt.

Our new guest speaker are old woman that use to be “bet” slave.

She can get rid off bet slavery after she met a wonderful monk who introduce her new net work of cooperation and banking.

She can be called an iron woman who has to fight with old bad system from capitalism and what so called badly “or bor tor”

Her talent and what I called “Limiting Factor” for her success is she can introduce more than 200 member to join her community. One good method is “one baht a day” accumulation of funding.

For me, myself, my father introduce me one bath a week in “Omsin” banking since I am a kid and in the year 2522 that I have MS degree those money sum to 200,000 baht.

Imagine the “Wanarom viillage” home cost only 150,000 baht at that time and cost several million bath in this year.

 

After her speech, we enjoy shopping at Ampawa floating market for half an hour. We notice that it has similar market distribute thru out Thailand but only few of them success. I found that the “Limiting Factor” that made this market success is cooperation of people there. It has a good old songs sung by “Tanud sri” and several old singer play around attract to farang. It has a wonderful traffic polish that kindly enthusiastic to help farang on his problem. I see with my eyes that the big bus has problem that cannot across the bridge and finally that polish manage to cross the bridge. If Thailand has more good polish similar to him then most problem on traffic will be gone.

 

We come back to home stay again at around 18.00 and separetely leave our long day to different location. For our microbus to reach KU KPS we met heavey rain but when we reach KPS at around 20.00 the rain was stopped. For me I forget the Karaoke speaker in that microbus. I call him to keep it to me on Monday.

 

I actually record this journal in VDO format but I did not watch it yet.

I wrote all above blog with purely memory left in my brain w/o note so it may contain some error and lack off some important details. I am sure my class mate will write the part I missed.

If it may have any errors then it was purely belong to my fault.
