R&D 2553 in samooth songkram during 29-30 Jyly 2553

 

Our class visit Samooth Songkram on 29-30 July, 2553. We leave KU KPS at 07.30 at 07.30 and go to bed at around 01.30 July 30, 2553 and get up again 04.00 on Jyly 30, 2553 and reach KPS at around 20.00 Jyly 30, 2553. It was a hard learning trip with full of knowledges.

 

On July 29, some students come from differerent location and we met at King Rama the second monument at 09.00 A.M. , few minutes later our guest speakers join us. We introduce each others and knew his name is Khun Soranapong. He live in Sammoth Songkram as Argicultural Advisor for more than 34 years and contribute a lot to poor farmers there. After that we move our stuffs to housing before we go to “Salt Making School” , it was the first school that teach poor farmer about how to making salk from sea water. “Khun Tao” is our teacher in there. He is a pioneer of modern and sustainable salk making method. He intoduce us amazing product from salt making called “Khii Dad Na Klue”. This wonderful product used to cause big problem to Salt farmers in raining season and they have to pay huge cost to get rid off it. But based on small budget supported by TRF that Khun Tao and his team doing research on it. This amazing product now become valuable products from his sall farming and all salt farmers there follow his given solution and bring high income to the poor. They can sell it at cost 2.40 baht per kg by now instead off paying cost to get rid off it. Several farm buy it to be an excellent fertilizer. One is “Kru Somsong Orange Farm” that we visit in the afternoon.

 

Not only “Khii Dad Na Klue”, Khun Toa also bring in several valuable products from salk making including Gypsum, Magnesium Sulfate, Klue Tua Phuu, Baby face powder and etc.

At the end he gave all of us a good gift “Baby face powder” that made from salt by his mother hand made. It can replace baby powder products in the market at cheaper cost.

 

Let us go back to major product called “Khii Dad Na Klue”, it was composed of several algae that will grow up only at the early raining season. After the are died it will compose of all plants nutrients and free from chemical products that destroyed our world today.

 

Wondeful thing that is a secret of his success is his leader capability that can hold several staffs with him. I called it “Limiting Factor” based on my “Reverse Threshold Model Theory”. This is the gift from the god given to him based on his hard working.

We have long time discussion at his school and he show us his salt barn. Then it was pass the lunch time so we left and having a good lunch outside. After lunch we visit “Som OO” farm belong to Kruu Somsong. He used to be a very good dedicated teacher and he sacrifice himself by early retiring and making his own farm.

 

Khun Soranapong is our guide who is the person behide Kru Somsong success. Firstly we visit his farm and digging out as much as possible cause why his farm are different from other farm. We found that his farm is a genuine organic farm for very long time of free of chemical products from industry. On his farm, we found a lot of natural mushroom including high cost muchroom called “Hed clone”. Several natural insects including parasites and predators was there. That is reason why he do not need chemical products. He did use natural bioloical control and save huge cost from comercial company and it was one of reason of his success. He told us the best insect but actually it is not insect are several variety of spiders that kill harmful insects. And they are abundant there.

Spiders are very sensitive to insecticide and with out spiders other farmers have to pay huge cost on insecticide.

 

Kru Somsong is a good example of farmer who success by following principle of Self-Sufficient Economy philososophy. He is not a monocrop farming. He fasrm compose of several plants including coconut and “Thong Lang”, an amazing plant that help orange to continue to give high products. Not only agriculture, he reduce his risk by introducing new business called “MahaVichalai” and home stay modified from his home. Also, he introduce new invention call “vinegar” from wood smoke. It was Khun Soranapong who teach him how to do so. One wood vinegar lead to several products namely, natural herb tea, refrigarator charcoal, orcanic detergent, insecticide, tar. And unexpected solution of waste product management.

 

His secret of success that I found out is he can forced 57 farmers to follow him involutary at first. Now all those farmers did follow him without forced involuntary. This is a limiting factor based on my “Reverse Threshold Model Theory.

 

Also the secret of his success in his farnming to win clay disadvantage is by using amazing plant namely “Thong Lang” that can improve soil physics to allow air to reach plant food and become healthy resistant to all pathological diseases and harmful insect.

 

After we leave his farm we continue visiting coconut farm that turn to produce plant sugar instead. The owner show us how to change “maprao nam hom” to be good sugar generator using palm plant technology.

 

The key success of this farming is early introducing of bilological path way.

Before it become good smell coconut it have to be sugar from carbondioxide and water using solar photosynthesis. So , the farmer cut the path way to let sugar to become oil and coconut meat and water. By this way, they got direct chain of solar energy to sugar. And can sell them directly.

 

This process is similar to article I wrote in 2519 namely “buffalo food that human cannot be eaten”. If we can eat it directly why not let human to eat it firstly. Why have to feed corn to pig and eating pig later. Reason our world to have serious problem today because we are so stupid to produce ethyl alcohol from sugar and let it become a truck fuel to burn into carbondioxide to let global warming to have more serius problem.

 

After we have dinner, we visit “Hing Hoi” home and the farmers who turn sugar coconut water to be solid sugar for sell. This small family compose of few member but can alive by his small industry. They show us his conventional method how to burn sugar water into solid sugar that we can keep it for long time cooking.

 

He has two products in there. The first one is boiling coconut sugar water in a bottle. This product simply heating to preserve sugar from microorganism to turn it to unwanted smell. After that he put more heat for long time until most of water become vapour and pure sugar become solid. Several of us buy his products.

 

The secret of his success is SSE that use what Dr. Charan call “intercaction”.

With simply “Hing Hoi” home, few persons will visit and buy his product.

With simply “coconut sugar” no one will visit him because they can buy it from other place.

Buy joining together, both become succeess business.

They can sell all his product every week without advertization cost and middle man.

That is a secret of their success.

 

We reach our home stay at around 22.00 and keep on small meeting with my built-in OLPC Karaoke with wireless microphone.

 

We have several good discussion and go to bed with a good sleep at around 01.30 AM of the next day. It was one of a wonderful valuable day of our life.
