Analysis on agricultural system
In yesterday class, Dr. Pramote saritnirand was giving lecture and discussion on analysis of Agr system.
He raise the model from frame work of thai industry in 2030 compose of food safety , food healthy and food security. The total agricultural production compose of 3 cycle under the Ecosystem big cycle. The 3 insided circle are agriculture system, market system and social system. I deal system will happen if and only if the 4 cycle complelte merged to one same cycle.
He gave framework from Village project from Science Ministry division of Thailand.
Several concepts from sustainable agriculture was explained including SSE and Buddha Kaset.
The best part of the teach is he did giving class exam for 15 minutes to let students to give their prior knowledge. This is part of Bayesian learning.
In the afternoon, after 1 more hour lecture, he gave a short trip to his scientific village.
The part of building construction was support by Nakhon Pathom mission.
He set the group name “Kaew Kaset” and become cooperation amed “Kaew Kaset co. ltd.”
At this moment it was a free agency. His major work compose of:

routine farm work, compose of asparagus, young corn cop, and rice seed.

Organic fertilizer.
He has network up to 4 province namely Nakhon Pathom, Rajaburi, Kanchanaburi and Suphan buri.
Most of his technology belong to KU.
He said he was learn a lot from farmer as well as farmer has learn from him.
For example : don't cut pine apple root or it will has no fruit. While it need to cut some root in some plant.
He gave the trick to mix some rice to have favor character and resistant to fungi.
His way of teaching is a good example to all teachers ito follow.
Above is only part from his day long teaching.
At the end of the class he gave all students bamboo shoots from his farm.
I pick one but he say one is not sufficient so I obey him by picking two bamboo shoots.
I eat it this morning it was so delicious.
IMO: KU has a lot of good teachers. R&D is a collection of good teachers.
So far more than 10 good teachers come to teach us.
All of them are good. I predict that the next one also good because I know him before.
His name is Prof. Dr. Charan Chantalakhana. He is my MS advisor during 1976 to 1979.
He set me to be KU computer and statistical leader during he is a vice president of KU because he has the best vision among KU bosses IMO:
Let go back to Dr. Pramote class lecture.
My reflect to his class is his teaching come in naturally.
This is the best way of teaching.
Reason TH EDU is collapsed today because bad policy of TH minister of Education to force teacher to have plan and LAME course syllabus. And none of good teachers can follow that LAME impossible plan.
Why?
Because we live in uncertain nature.
Last night Brazil lost to Holland based on above uncertain nature.
If teacher strict themself to follow LAME syllabus then effeciency of teaching will reduce and students will learn from robot only.
In his class he did gave valuable information did not exist in the LAME syllabus forexample:
1. He said he become project reader/inspector in replace of Prof. Dr. Peerasak
2. One of good teacher name Prof. Chamnarn was pass away
Those are wonderful useful information to me.
He also gave class related wonderful information about "PAD chao barn" that some are truly knowledge leaders but some are simply a frog that damage to poor farmer.
He gave useful information that some poor farmers mis thinking that organic fertilizer can have 48% Nitrogen while urea can have at most 46% N only. That was impossible and most organic fertilizer can have at most 2% N but poor farmer use their feeling that organic fertilizer is good.
Some bad company gave only soil to poor farmer and claim that it was organic fertilizer.
That is really bad doing and will destroy organic fertilizer circle.

Solution:
Easy: Simply putting the right man to the right job of the right time. There are a lot of them.
We have problems now because we always put the WRONG man for all times forever.
If we change then solution was come.
