ช่วงนี้ผมกำลังค้นคว้าเกี่ยวกับ

มหานครโบราณที่มีชื่อว่า บาบิลอน (Babylon)

พบว่ามีบทเพลงที่คาบเกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์ของนครแห่งนี้

ได้แก่

Rivers of Babylon ขับร้องโดย Boney M

ซึ่งกล่าวถึง

ชะตากรรมของชาวยิวที่ถูกพระเจ้าเนบูคัดเนสซาร์ที่ 2 (Nebuchadnezzar II)

กวาดต้อนจากดินแดนยูดาห์ไปอยู่ที่บาบิลอน

เหตุการณ์ครั้งนั้นเกิดขึ้นในปี 586 ปีก่อนคริสต์ศักราช

เป็นความขมขื่นแสนยิ่งใหญ่ครั้งหนึ่งในประวัติศาสตร์แห่งชนชาติยิว

และมีชื่อเรียกว่า

Babylonian Captivity หรือ Babylonian Exile
