ว่าด้วยนันทิวิสาลเทพบุตร

             [๑๐๙] นันทิวิสาลเทพบุตรยืนอยู่ ณ ที่สมควรแล้ว ได้กราบทูลพระผู้มีพระภาคด้วยคาถาว่า

                          ข้าแต่พระมหาวีรเจ้า สรีรยนต์ ๔ ล้อ

                          มีประตู ๙ ประตู เต็มไปด้วยของไม่สะอาด

                         ถูกโลภะประกอบไว้ เป็นเหมือนเปือกตม

                          สรีรยนต์นั้นจักแล่นไปได้อย่างไร

             พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสว่า

                          เพราะตัดชะเนาะ เชือกหนัง

                          ตัดความปรารถนาและความโลภอันเลวทราม

                          และเพราะถอนตัณหาพร้อมทั้งรากได้

                          สรีรยนต์นั้นจักแล่นไปได้อย่างนี้

Can anyone explain สรีรยนต์ ๔ ล้อ มีประตู ๙ ประตู?

I looked up ประมวลศัพท์พุทธศาสตร์(ป.อ. ปยุตฺโต) and found สรีรยนต์: กลไกคือร่างกาย. But what are they?

I guessed that ประตู ๙ ประตู (the 9 entrances or sensors) are: 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 1 mouth, 1 urethra, and 1 anus. (The last 2 are not really entrances, but exits.)

To clear my mind, I looked further and found the phrase จตุจกฺกํ นวทฺวารํ (in Pāli with Thai script) and a footnote in จตุจักกสูตร (ว่าด้วยสรีรยนต์ ๔ ล้อ, พระไตรปิฎกเล่มที่ ๑๕ พระสุตตันตปิฎกเล่มที่ ๗ [ฉบับมหาจุฬาฯ]) :
