อบรมครูชาวต่างประเทศตรัง 2567 เทอม 1

วันที่ 16 ถึง 17 พฤศจิกายน 2567 ผมเดินทางไปจังหวัดตรัง เพื่ออบรมชาวต่างประเทศในโครงการของคณะศึกษาศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ที่จังหวัดตรัง จำนวน 29 คน   ครูชาวต่างประเทศจะเป็นชาวฟิลิปินส์ South Africa รัสเซีย อเมริกา ออสเตรเลีย ยูเครน ครูชาวต่างประเทศเหล่านี้สอนในโรงเรียนเทศบาล 1- 8 สังกัดเทศบาลนครตรัง ตามโครงการจ้่างที่ปรึกษาร่วมกับมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ 

กิจกรรมปีนี้แปลกกว่าทุกปี เนื่องจากผู้จัดการโครงการอยากได้กิจกรรมกลุ่มสัมพัน์ที่ทำให้ครูได้ฝึกทักษะการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ แต่ยังรวมไปถึงทักษะการทำงานร่วมกัน การทำงานป็นทีม (Team work) ผู้เขียนเลยเพิ่มกิจกรรมพัฒนาองค์กร (Organization Development) เข้าไปด้วย 

 

ทำกิจกรรมการฟัง ผมทำกิจกรรมให้ชาวต่างประเทศดูก่อน แล้วให้ชาวต่างประเทศออกมา ออกคำสั่ง โดยให้ใช้คำสั่ง Touch your head, touch your hand ,touch your leg  พอได้ยินคำสั่งว่า Go  ให้รับหันหลังมาจับปากกาตรงกลาง ใครจับได้ไวกว่า คนนั้นก็จะเป็นผู้ชนะ  

มีกิจกรรมการฟังข่าวและวาดภาพด้วย  เป็นข่าวนานาชาติ เนื้อหาค่อนข้างไวมาก แต่ครูส่วนใหญ่ สามารถทำกิจกรรมได้ดีมาก ในภาพข้างบนเป็นการแบ่งข้างกัน แต่งงว่า ชาว South Africa กับรัสเซีย เป่ายิงฉุบไม่เหมือนกัน ต้องใช้เวลาอธิบายนานมาก 555

มีกิจกรรมให้เขียนเรื่อง Reflection ว่า โครงการมหาวิทยาลัย ชาวต่างประเทศประทับใจในเรื่องใดบ้าง ชาวต่างประเทศเขียนว่า ข้อดีคือเงินเดือนมหาวิทยาลัยเราออกตรงเวลา และ มีการช่วยพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนของครูผู้สอนชาวต่างประเทศตลอดเวลา 

กิจกรรมการทำงานเป็นทีมซึ่งเคลื่อนที่ค่อนข้างยาก กิจกรรมมีสองทีมแข่งกัน  แต่บางครั้งก็ใช้จับเวลาเนื่องจากจะได้ช่วยกันทำ

กิจกรรมที่เป่าลูกปิงปองเพื่อให้เคลื่อนไปตามแก้วน้ำ โดยแต่ละคนต้องนำน้ำมาเติมให้ได้ในระดับที่เป่าได้ ถ้าเป่าแรงก็จะเลย ถ้าเป่าเบาก็จะไม่เข้าในแก้วต่อไป ทุกคนในทีมลุ้นน่าดูว่า จะลงไหม 

ครูผู้สอนชาวต่างประเทศได้เรียนรู้เรื่อง Effectively improving student  communication skills  มีข้อมูลดังต่อไปนี้เช่น 

 1. Create a Supportive Environment:

• Encourage active listening: Model active listening by giving students your full attention, asking clarifying questions, and paraphrasing their ideas.
• Provide constructive feedback: Offer specific, actionable feedback that focuses on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Celebrate diversity: Create a classroom culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages open dialogue.

2. Incorporate Practical Activities:

• Role-playing: Simulate real-world scenarios, such as job interviews, presentations, or debates, to help students practice their skills.
• Group discussions: Facilitate discussions on various topics to encourage students to articulate their thoughts and listen to others.
• Public speaking opportunities: Organize speech contests, debates, or presentations to help students develop confidence and fluency.
• Writing exercises: Assign writing prompts, journal entries, or essays to improve students' written communication skills.

3. Teach Essential Communication Skills:

• Verbal communication:
  • Teach effective speaking techniques, such as using clear articulation, varying tone and pace, and maintaining eye contact.
  • Emphasize the importance of using appropriate language and avoiding jargon.
• Non-verbal communication:
  • Explain the role of body language, facial expressions, and gestures in conveying messages.
  • Teach students to use non-verbal cues to enhance their verbal communication.
• Active listening:
  • Demonstrate active listening techniques, such as paraphrasing, summarizing, and asking clarifying questions.
  • Encourage students to pay attention to the speaker's words, tone, and body language.

4. Utilize Technology:

• Online forums and discussion boards: Provide opportunities for students to engage in asynchronous discussions and develop their written communication skills.
• Video conferencing tools: Facilitate virtual group projects and presentations to improve students' ability to communicate effectively in remote settings.
• Digital storytelling tools: Encourage students to create digital stories to enhance their creativity and communication skills.
