I read “New research shows learning is more effective when active” < https://phys.org/news/2021-09-effective.html> and noted “…Engaging students through interactive activities, discussions, feedback and AI-enhanced technologies resulted in improved academic performance compared to traditional lectures, lessons or readings…”.

It has been a while since I last posted about “learning by experience” (see my Plain Simple English -PSE series in Gotoknow) which is a learning strategy that applies the Buddhist learning principles (sīla, dāna, mettā;  sikkha, samādhi sikkha, paññā;  sīla 5, ariya sacca 4, magga 8) with emphasis on ‘doing’ (instead of imaging or theoreticizing – that is ‘kamma’(action) will produce ‘phala' (fruit/result)).

Reading the research paper above lead me to a catchy phrase ==“Hands-on, Heads-on & Hearts-on”==.

I think if we can actually ‘do’ things and think-about what we are doing/learning and keeping our focus or interest in our doing/learning we can be ==successful learners==.

Enough reading now. Go out and experience the world. But keep thinking of what we are doing ;-)
