         เมื่อวันที่ 14 กันยายน 2561 World Economic Forum (WEF) ที่กรุงเจนีวา ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ได้เผยแพร่นวัตกรรมอุบัติใหม่อันเป็น 10 สุดยอดเทคโนโลยีแห่งปี ค.ศ. 2018 ที่เรียกว่า Top 10 Emerging Technologies of 2018 ที่         https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/09/top-10-emerging-technologies-of-2018/

         สำหรับ10 สุดยอดเทคโนโลยีแห่งปี ค.ศ. 2018 ที่ WEF ได้ให้เครือข่ายผู้เชี่ยวชาญ (Expert Network) ของโลก ซึ่งประกอบด้วยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 5,500 คน จาก 130 ประเทศ ที่เป็นตัวแทน 3,300 องค์กร โดยมีสัดส่วนภาค Business : Academia : Government : Civil Society เป็น 35% : 35% : 15% : 15% [https://www.weforum.org/communities/expert-network] ร่วมกันกับสำนักScientific American รวบรวมและประมวลออกมาได้ ดังต่อไปนี้

         10 สุดยอดเทคโนโลยีแห่งปี ค.ศ. 2018 เป็นเรื่องที่WEF กำหนดขึ้นให้มีการถกกันในการประชุม Annual Meeting of the New Champions ที่ Tianjinประเทศจีน ในวันที่14-18 กันยายน 2561 ซึ่งเป็นการประชุมที่มุ่งเน้นนวัตกรรมวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีในการปฏิวัติอุตสาหกรรมครั้งที่4(Fourth Industrial Revolution) ของโลก ซึ่งเป็นการประชุมที่มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมที่เป็นผู้นำในด้านต่างๆกว่า 2,300คน โดยในส่วนประเทศเจ้าภาพ ผู้ที่ได้รับเชิญให้บรรยายนำได้แก่ Premier Li Keqiang, Finance Minister Liu Kun, Bank of China Governor Yi Gang, Jack Ma (founder of e-commerce giant Alibaba) และ Ken Hu (จาก Huawei) ส่วนผู้บรรยายนำจากประเทศอื่นๆ ก็ล้วนเป็นผู้ที่มีชื่อเสียงในระดับโลก ทั้งนี้ผู้ที่สนใจการประชุมสามารถติดตามรายละเอียดได้ที่     http://wef.ch/amnc18
