Translation and Interpretation 2013
On behalf of the Association of Asian Translation Industry (AATI) in cooperation with
Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), Department of Western Languages –
Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, together with speakers from the Royal Institute,
National Electronics and Computer Technology Center, Electronic Transactions Development Agency,
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, SIL International, Proz.com and many more, we would like to invite you or your representative to participate in our 7th celebration of 2013 Translator’s Day to be
organized on 11th December 2013 at the Meeting Hall D1, RMUTP (Thewes Campus) in Bangkok.
Being the seventh year of its continuous celebration this event has an aim to drive Bangkok as an Asian hub for translation and interpretation services. The event will be broadcast via the Internet, Radio FM 90.75 and TV satellite to all over the world. It has been participated and viewed by more than 100 countries covering all continents since its first celebration in 2006.
The theme is: “ASEAN Collaboration Center for Translation and Interpretation Services :
Bangkok Fusion” “ศูนย์ความร่วมมอืการบริการการแปลและล่ามแห่งอาเซียน: ร่วมสร้างพลงั ณ กรุงเทพ”
The event will be organized succesively in 3 countries starting in Bangkok on 11 December 2013,
Hanoi on 13 December 2013 with the theme, “ASEAN Collaboration Center for Translation and Interpretation Services: Hanoi Rise”, and finally in Phnom Penh on 15 December with the theme,
“ASEAN Collaboration Center for Translation and Interpretation Services : Phnom Penh Flight”.
At the 7th Translator’s Day (11 December 2013) in Bangkok a MOU will be signed by a group of
professional translators and interpreters from the 3 joining countries in order to make this ASEAN
collaboration fruitful in time for ASEAN community.
