I wonder if babies attract mossies more than adults (because 'lactic acid' attracts mossies). I wonder if we have spray-on clothes/products containing DEET - diethyl toluamide or 1-methylpiperzine on sale in the market. I wonder if people who take some piperazine-based 'recreational drugs' are less likely to attract mossies. (Mind you it is illegal to check this out ;-) As piperazine chemical group gets its name from 'piper' that is the genus name of 'pepper' (spicy little berry fruit of a vine with green heart shaped leaves - พริกไทย), would sprinkling pepper on our skin or spraying our clothes with peppery water or just adding more pepper in our meal make us less attractive for mossies? This we can try legally and cheaply enough.
Perhaps we can make peppery water spray and voila we can give everyone a mosquito protection costome.
Perhaps we can even make little amulets from pepper powder and claim the world-first mosquito repellent amulets ;-)

: I don't know of any in Thailand (and elsewhere). There are chemical factories (at least one fac in China) making and selling chemical ingredients (listed above). Just do a search with Google with the chemical name(s).
These days it seems that the faster way to get rich is not to work hard and.or provide good honest goods and services. But to take 30% service fees, to build/provide under spec, to develop public lands and sell as private lands,...

: if you mean 1-methylpiperzine it is available in small quantity (at big price) for research. Just search the Net with keyword 1-methylpiperzine ;-)
What I had in mind when I wrote this is experiments with (green/black) 'peppers' (tea or alcohol extract) to repel mossies. And perhaps more experiments with lactic acid (milk) to attract mossies to other areas but where we spend more time like at dining table or TV lounge ;-)
