กับขนาดความเร็วที่ 800MHz ท่านก็จะต้องซื้อเมนบอร์ดที่สนับสนุนความเร็วบัสที่ 800MHz หรือสนับสนุนเทคโนโลยี ไฮเปอร์-เธรดดิ้ง ด้วย แต่ถ้าถามว่าถ้าใช้ซีพียูความเร็วบัสเพียง 400 หรือ 533MHz แล้วอยากจะใช้เมนบอร์ดความเร็วบัส 800MHz จะได้ไหม คำตอบก็คือได้ครับ ถ้าท่านจะซื้อเผื่อการอัพเกรดซีพียูในอนาคตด้วย แต่มีข้อแนะนำอยู่นิดหนึ่งก็คือ ในยุคสมัยนี้เทคโนโลยีทางด้าน Computer (คอมพิวเตอร์) ได้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง และพัฒนา ไปอย่างรวดเร็ว เทคโนโลยีเก่าๆ ได้ถูกแทนที่ด้วยเทคโนโลยีใหม่ๆ พอถึงวันหนึ่งที่ท่านอยากจะเปลี่ยนซีพียูตัวใหม่ วันนั้นเมนบอร์ดของท่านอาจจะไม่สนับสนุนซีพียูตัวใหม่ แล้วก็ได้ ดังนั้นเวลาจะซื้อควรเน้นการใช้งานในขณะปัจจุบันจะดีกว่าครับ หน่วยความจำ (RAM) สำหรับหน่วยความจำนั้นเป็น อุปกรณ์ คอมพิวเตอร์ ที่ทำหน้าที่ในการเก็บ และพักข้อมูลที่รอการประมวลผล หรือทำการประมวลผลเสร็จแล้ว เพื่อนำไปใช้ใน การแสดงผลของข้อมูล และยังสามารถที่จะทำการเก็บข้อมูล หรือคำสั่งที่ถูกเรียกใช้บ่อยๆ เพื่อให้การทำงานของระบบรวดเร็วขึ้น แรมเป็นอุปกรณ์ชิ้นที่สามที่ควรจะมอง แรมที่วางขายอยู่ในท้องตลาดก็จะมีอยู่ 2 แบบ คือ SDRAM และ DDR-SDRAM แต่สำหรับแรมที่นิยมใช้กันมากในปัจจุบันก็คงจะเป็นแรมในแบบ DDR-SDRAM การเลือกใช้แรมก็เป็นอีกปัจจัยหนึ่งที่ไม่ควรมองข้าม เพราะถ้าเลือกใช้แรมไม่ดี หรือไม่ถูกต้องก็อาจจะทำให้ เครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ (Computer) ทำงานได้ไม่เต็มประสิทธิภาพอย่างที่ควรจะเป็น สำหรับแรมก็มีให้เลือกใช้มากมายหลายยี่ห้อด้วยกัน ซึ่งแต่ละยี่ห้อก็จะแบ่งออกเป็นด้านของขนาดความจุ และขนาดความเร็ว ในฝั่งของ SDRAM ที่ใช้ซ็อกเก็ตแบบ 168 pin นั้นจะมีความเร็วที่ PC133 ซึ่งก็จะมีขนาดของหน่วยความจำมาให้เลือกติดตั้งตั้งแต่ 128, 256 และ 512MB ครับ ส่วนทางฝั่งแรมแบบ DDR นั้นก็มีมาให้เลือก ใช้อยู่หลายแบบ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น PC2100 (266MHz) แต่ถ้าคุณต้องการใช้งาน ซีพียู ที่มีความเร็วบัส 533MHz นั้น ควรที่จะหาซื้อ PC2700 (333MHz) หรือถ้าใช้ซีพียู ที่มีความเร็วบัส 800MHz แรมที่ใช้ก็ควรจะเป็นแบบ PC3200 (400MHz) มากกว่า เพราะจะสามารถใช้งานได้เต็มประสิทธิภาพ ถ้าเมนบอร์ดที่ท่านใช้สนับสนุนแรมแบบคู่ หรือ Dual-channel ด้วย แล้วท่านติดตั้งแรมเป็นคู่ด้วยก็จะดีมาก เพราะจะทำให้การทำงานของแรมมีประสิทธิภาพที่สูงมากขึ้น สำหรับขนาดความจุที่มีก็จะมี 128, 256, 512 และ 1024MB หรือ 1GB ในส่วนของราคาของแรมทั้งในแบบ SDRAM และ DDR-RAM ก็จะไม่ค่อยแตกต่างกันมากนัก ทางดีที่เลือกใช้เมนบอร์ด ที่สนับสนุนแรม แบบ DDR ไปเลยจะดีกว่า และเมนบอร์ดที่สนับสนุนแรมในแบบ SDRAM ก็หาได้ยากแล้วในท้องตลาด ฮาร์ดดิสก์ (Hard disk) เป็นตัวเก็บข้อมูลต่างๆ ที่ใช้งานในระบบของ เครื่อง Computer เป็นแหล่งเก็บข้อมูลหลักของ เครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ ซึ่งถ้ามีความจุสูงๆ ก็สามารถที่จะเก็บข้อมูลได้ในปริมาณได้มากๆ จะว่าไปแล้วฮาร์ดดิสก์ที่ออกมาวางขายนั้นก็มีมากมายหลายยี่ห้อ ซึ่งแต่ละยี่ห้อก็จะมีคุณภาพที่ไม่ค่อยจะแตกต่างกันมากนัก รสนิยมการเลือกใช้ฮาร์ดดิสก์ของคนไทยอย่างเราๆ ก็คงจะดูที่ยี่ห้อ กับการรับประกันหลังการขายกันมากกว่า โดยมักจะสอบถามจากผู้ที่เคยใช้มาก่อนว่าฮาร์ดดิสก์ตัวนี้ยี่ห้อนี้เป็น อย่างไร เวลาส่งเคลมแล้วรวดเร็วหรือไม่ เพราะฮาร์ดดิสก์นับว่าเป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ทำงานหนักที่สุดในเครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ ดังนั้นการรับประกันจึงมักเป็นอีกปัจจัยหนึ่งที่ควรจะดูด้วย ซึ่งก็จะมีการรับประกันตั้งแต่่ 1 ปี, 3 ปี และ 5 ปี ตามแต่ละยี่ห้อและชนิดของฮาร์ดดิสก์ นอกจากฮาร์ดดิสก์แบบ Ultra 160 SCSI ที่นิยมใช้กับเครื่อง Computer ระดับสูงๆ อย่างเครื่อง Server แล้ว ฮาร์ดดิสก์สำหรับ เครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ (Computer) ทั่วไปก็จะมีให้เลือกอยู่ 3 แบบ โดยจะแบ่งตามมาตรฐานการโอนถ่ายข้อมูล และอินเทอร์เฟซที่ใช้เชื่อมต่อ ซึ่งก็จะมี ATA/100, ATA/133 และแบบ SATA 150 ที่มีขนาดของหน่วยความจำบัฟเฟอร์ 8MB ซึ่งมากกว่าในแบบ ATA ที่มีเพียงแค่ 2MB ดังนั้นฮาร์ดดิสก์แบบ Serial ATA จึงมีความเร็วในการโอนถ่ายข้อมูลที่รวดเร็วกว่า ถ้าเมนบอร์ดของท่านสนับสนุน SATA 150 ด้วยก็น่าจะติดตั้งใช้งานฮาร์ดดิสก์แบบ Serial ATA ไปเลย เพราะราคาของ ฮาร์ดดิสก์แบบนี้ก็ไม่ค่อยแตกต่างกับแบบ IDE แล้ว ด้านความเร็วในการส่วนของจากหมุนก็เป็นอีกส่วนหนึ่งที่ไม่ควรมองข้าม ความเร็วจะมีตั้งแต่ 5400, 7200, 10000 โดยจะมีหน่วยเป็น rpm หรือ รอบ/นาที ส่วนความเร็ว 10000 และ 15000 ก็มักจะมีใช้ในฮาร์ดดิสก์แบบ SCSI ครับ ทางด้านขนาดความจุอันนี้ก็แล้วแต่การนำไปใช้งานครับ ว่าต้องการขนาดพื้นที่เท่าไร กราฟิกการ์ด (VGA Card) เป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ในการแสดงผลภาพออกทางจอแสดงผล โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วในตอนนี้นั้น กราฟิกการ์ดจะเป็นการ์ดแบบที่สามารถแสดงผลได้ทั้ง 3 มิติ และ 2 มิติไปในตัว เพื่อการใช้งานที่หลากหลาย โดยกราฟิกการ์ดนั้นจะมีหน่วยประมวลผลหรือที่เรียกว่า GPU เป็นของตัวเอง โดยจะไม่พึ่ง CPU ในการประมวลข้อมูล ทางด้านกราฟิก และกราฟิกการ์ดนั้นยังมีหน่วยความจำเป็นของตัวเองไม่ได้ใช้ร่วมกับหน่วยความจำหลักหรือ RAM ปัจจุบันนี้กราฟิกการ์ดที่มีขาย อยู่นั้นส่วยใหญ่แล้ว จะเป็น จำพวก 3D Card ซึ่งใช้สำหรับการเล่นเกมส์ และประมวลผลภาพ 3 มิติ ซึ่งมีประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานที่สูง ซึ่งก็มีผู้ที่ผลิตชิปรายใหญ่อยู่ 2-3ราย นั้นก็คือ nVIDIA, ATi และ SiS ซึ่งเป็นผู้ผลิตชิป 3 มิติระดับคุณภาพสูง และมีขายอยู่ในตลาดบ้านเรามากมายหลายยี่ห้อ ซึ่งการเลือกซื้อการ์ดจอนั้น ควรจะดูที่งบประมาณในการซื้อ เป็นส่วนใหญ่ เพราะว่าการ์ดที่มีคุณภาพในการแสดงผลในระดับสูงราคาจะแพงมาก ซึ่งจะทำให้งบประมาณในการซื้อ เครื่อง Computer คอมพิวเตอร์ สูงขึ้นตามไปอีกด้วย ทั้งนี้เมนบอร์ดของท่านจะต้อง มีสล็อต AGP สนับสนุนอยู่ด้วย ซึ่งเมนบอร์ดบางตัวที่สนับสนุนการ์ดแสดงผลแบบออนบอร์ดไว้แล้วมักจะไม่ติดตั้งสล็อต AGP มาให้ ความเร็วของระบบกราฟิกบัส ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งอย่างที่ไม่ควรมองข้าม ถ้าเมนบอร์ดสนับสนุน AGP 8X ก็ควรใช้การ์ดแสดงผลแบบ AGP 8X ด้วย ซึ่งก็จะทำให้งานทางด้านภาพสามารถ ทำได้อย่างเต็ม ประสิทธิภาพ ลักษณะการเลือกใช้ถ้าต้องการความละเอียดในการแสดงผลสูงๆ ก็ควรจะใช้หน่วยความจำขนาดสูงๆด้วย ซึ่งขนาดของหน่วยความจำก็จะมีให้เลือกตั้งแต่ 32, 64, 128, 256MB การ์ดเสียง (Sound Card) ในส่วนของการ์ดแสดงผลทางด้านเสียงนั้นก็เป็นส่วนสำคัญในการแสดงผลทางด้านมัลติมีเดียซึ่งคนส่วนใหญ่มักจะใช้งานกันมาก ซึ่งตอนนี้ นั้นได้ถูกปรับปรุง และทำการพัฒนาให้สามารถที่จะทำการส่งสัญญาณเสียงได้หลายช่องทาง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1 และ 7.1 ซึ่งถ้าใช้จำนวนช่องมาก ก็จะทำให้ระบบเสียงนั้นสมบูรณ์แบบเพิ่มขึ้น และปัจจุบันก็จะมีให้เลือกใช้ทั้งแบบที่ติดตั้งภายใน หรือติดตั้งภายนอก หรือแม้แต่ในเมนบอร์ดรุ่นใหม่ๆ ก็จะมีซาวนด์การ์ดแบบ ออนบอร์ด ติดตั้งให้เกือบทั้งหมดแล้ว ซึ่งบางท่านที่ไม่ค่อยใส่ใจมากนักก็อาจจะใช้เพียงแค่ออนบอร์ดเท่านั้น ไดร์ฟ (Drive) ในส่วนของการเลือกซื้อ ไดร์ฟ นั้น สามารถที่จะเลือกซื้อให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้งานได้ เพราะว่าในตอนนี้นั้นไดร์ฟต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ตัว CD-ROM, DVD, CD-RW, DVD-CDRW หรือแม้แต่ DVD-RW นั้น ได้มีราคาที่ลดลงมาก ทำให้การเลือกซื้อเป็นไปได้ง่ายขึ้น สำหรับการเลือกซื้อนั้นให้ดูถึง ลักษณ์ของการ ใช้งาน เป็นหลักจะดีกว่า ว่าเน้นหนักไปใช้ในงานด้านไหนบ้าง จะใช้เพียงแค่อ่านแผ่น หรือจะใช้แบบบันทึกข้อมูลได้ด้วย ด้านความเร็วในการเขียน หรือความเร็วในการอ่าน ก็มีมา ให้เลือกใช้อย่างมากมาย สำหรับว่าควรจะเลือกใช้แบบที่ติดตั้งภายใน หรือภายนอกดี อาจจะเป็นคำถามของหลายๆคนอยู่ในตอนนี้ ก็ง่ายๆครับ ถ้าจำเป็นที่จะต้องเคลื่อนย้ายบ่อยๆ และไม่ชอบที่จะถอดเข้าถอดออกไดร์ฟบ่อยๆ ก็น่าจะใช้แบบติดตั้งภายนอกไปเลย แต่แบบติดตั้งภายนอกจะมีราคาที่สูงกว่าแบบติดตั้งภายในอยู่ค่อนข้างมาก ในส่วนของ 1.44MB floppy drives นั้นก็ยังเป็นมาตรฐานเดิมซึ่งไม่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอะไรไปมากครับ จอมอนิเตอร์ (Monitor) นับว่าเป็น อุปกรณ์ คอมพิวเตอร์ ในส่วนอุปกรณ์ Output ที่จะขาดไปเสียไม่ได้เลย เพราะถ้าได้มอนิเตอร์ที่มีคุณภาพดี ก็จะทำให้ผู้ใช้สามารถรับชมภาพที่มีคุณภาพที่ดีด้วย และการใช้งาน เครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ เป็นเวลานานๆ จอมอนิเตอร์ที่ดียังเป็นการช่วยในการถนอมสายตาของผู้ใช้อีกด้วย มอนิเตอร์ที่มีขายในปัจจุบันจะแบ่งออกเป็น 2 แบบใหญ่ๆ คือ แบบ CRT กับแบบ LCD ซึ่งในแบบ CRT ก็จะแตกแยกย่อยออกเป็นอีกหลายแบบ เช่น Flat, Digital, Flattron หรือ FD Triniton และยังมีอีกหลายแบบตามแต่ละ เทคโนโลยีการผลิตของแต่ละค่าย ขนาดของจอภาพก็เป็นสิ่งที่ผู้ซื้อควรจะมองเป็นอันดับแรก เพราะถ้าจอภาพมีขนาดใหญ่ก็จะทำให้การรับชมภาพของท่านสบายตามากยิ่งขึ้น แต่ทั้งนี้ก็จะต้องขึ้นอยู่กับความละเอียดสูงสุด และอัตราการปรับ Rrfresh Rate ของมอนิเตอร์แต่ละตัวด้วยว่าสนับสนุนได้เพียงเท่าใด สำหรับจอ CRT ขนาด 15 นิ้วนั้น จะสามารถปรับความละเอียดสูงสุดได้ที่ 1024 x 768 ที่และอัตราการปรับ Rrfresh Rate 75MHz ส่วนขนาด 17 นิ้ว ก็จะมีตั้งแต่ 1280 x 1024, 1600 x 1200 กับ Rrfresh Rateที่ 75 และ 85MHz ทั้งนี้ก็จะขึ้นอยู่กับยี่ห้อ และรุ่นของแต่ละค่าย ส่วนแบบ 19 นิ้ว และ 21 นิ้ว ก็ปรับความละเอียดได้สูงสุดที่ 1600 x 1200,1792 x 1374, 1920 x 1440, 2048 x 1536 และ Rrfresh Rateที่ 85MHz ครับ ทางด้านจอมอนิเตอร์แบบ LCD ก็จะคล้ายๆ กับ CRT ในเรื่องของการปรับค่าความละเอียดสูงสุด แต่ก็จะปรับได้ไม่เกิน 1280 x 1024 และสามารถปรับ Rrfresh Rate ได้แค่เพียง 75MHz เท่านั้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นจอขนาด 14,15, 17, 18 หรือ 19 นิ้ว เคส และเพาเวอร์ซัพพลาย (Case & Power Supply) ในส่วนของเคสนั้น จะว่าไปแล้วก็เหมือนกับหน้าตาของเครื่อง Computer เลยก็ว่าได้ เพราะถ้าได้เคสคุณภาพดี และสวยงามก็จะทำให้เครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ (Computer) ของท่านมีประสิทธิภาพ และน่าใช้มากขึ้น ถ้าจะให้ดีนั้น ในการเลือกซื้อก็ควรที่จะเลือกซื้อเคสที่มีขนาดพื้นที่ติดตั้งอุปกรณ์กว้างๆ เพื่อที่จะติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ได้มากขึ้น หรือสามารถระบายความร้อนภายในเครื่องได้อย่างรวดเร็ว หรือถ้าหาเคสที่มีพัดลมระบายความร้อนเยอะๆ ก็จะดีมาก สำหรับตัว เพาเวอร์ซัพพลาย นั้นส่วนใหญ่แล้วก็จะให้มากับเคสเลย ในเวลาที่ซื้อเครื่อง Computer ซึ่งตัวเพาเวอร์ซัพพลาย นี้จะทำหน้าที่ในการจ่ายไฟฟ้าไปเลี้ยงส่วนต่างๆ ของ อุปกรณ์ Computer ให้สามารถที่จะทำงานได้ ซึ่งถ้าเราเลือกซื้อตัว เพาเวอร์ซัพพลาย ที่มีกำลังจ่ายมากอย่าง 350 วัตต์ - 400 วัตต์ ก็จะสามารถพ่วงต่อกับ อุปกรณ์ คอมพิวเตอร์ อื่นๆ ได้มากขึ้น แลน และโมเด็ม (LAN & Modem) อุปกรณ์ คอมพิวเตอร์ สองประเภทนี้นับว่าเป็นสองอุปกรณ์ที่มีความสำคัญต่อการใช้งานในยุคปัจจุบันได้อย่างมากทีเดียว เพราะทั้งสอง อุปกรณ์ จะทำหน้าที่เปรียบเสมือนช่องทางในการสื่อสารระหว่างเครื่อง Computer เพื่อที่จะแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลต่างๆ เรามาดูในส่วนของแลนกันก่อนครับ โดยส่วนมากแล้ว การ์ดแลน มักจะถูกติดตั้งแบบออนบอร์ดมากับเมนบอร์ดรุ่นใหม่ๆ ซึ่งก็มีทั้งความเร็ว 10/100Mbps และ 10/100/1000Mbps หรือถ้าไม่มีก็สามารถซื้อหามาติดตั้งเพิ่มเติมได้ ซึ่งก็จะมีให้เลือกใช้ทั้งแบบติดตั้งภายใน และแบบติดตั้งภายนอก แต่แนะนำให้ใช้แบบติดตั้งภายในกับสล็อต PCI มากกว่า ทางโมเด็มนั้นก็จะกำหนดก่อนว่าจะใช้อินเทอร์เน็ต ในรูปแบบใดบ้าง ถ้าใช้เชื่อมต่อแบบธรรมดา ก็ใช้โมเด็มแบบอนาล็อก 56K แต่ถ้าใช้แบบความเร็วสูง อย่างเช่น ADSL ก็จะต้องใช้โมเด็มในแบบ ADSL ซึ่งก็จะมีให้เลือกใช้ ทั้งแบบที่ติดตั้งภายใน หรือแบบที่ติดตั้งภายนอกเหมือนกันครับ เมาส์ คีย์บอร์ด และลำโพง สำหรับอุปกรณ์เหล่านี้นั้นเป็นที่รู้กันดีอยู่แล้วว่าทำหน้าที่อะไรกันบ้าง ซึ่งสามารถที่จะทำการเรียกรวมๆ กันว่าอุปกรณ์มัลติมีเดียเลยก็ว่าได้ เพราะเนื่องจากว่าคีย์บอร์ด กับ เมาส์ในสมัยนี้นั้นสามารถที่จะทำงานอย่างอื่นได้อีกมากมายเลยที่เดียว ในการเลือกซื้อนั้นก็ดูที่ความต้องการของผู้ใช้เป็นหลัก ว่าชอบคีย์บอร์ด หรือเมาส์ลักษณะไหนสีอะไร มาถึงขั้นตอนสุดท้ายใน การเลือกซื้อ เครื่อง Computer คอมพิวเตอร์ คู่ใจแล้วครับ และเป็นขั้นตอนที่ผู้ซื้อจะมองข้ามไปไม่ได้เลย นั้นคือการรับประกันหลังการขาย เพราะถ้า การบ ระบบปฏิบัติการ สำหรับการเลือกใช้งานระบบปฏิบัติการให้กับเครื่องใหม่นั้น เราสามารถที่จะทำการเลือกใช้ตามประสิทธิภาพของเครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ ใหม่ได้ ซึ่ง เครื่อง Computer ใหม่ๆ ในปัจจุบันส่วนใหญ่นั้น สามารถที่จะใช้งานกับระบบปฏิบัติการได้เกือบๆ ทุกรุ่นไม่ว่าจะเป็น Windows 98se, ME, XP, 2000 หรือแม้แต่พวก Linux เองก็ตาม โดยการเลือกใช้นั้นควรดูที่ความต้องการ และความถนัดในการใช้งานของผู้ใช้งานเป็นหลัก ริการหลักการขายดีเวลาที่ เครื่อง Computer มีปัญหาผู้ใช้ก็สามารถยกไปให้ทางร้านได้ทันที โดยวิธีการสังเกตว่าร้านไหนดีหรือไม่ดีนั้น ท่านอาจจะลองสอบถาม ผู้ที่เคยซื้อ อุปกรณ์ Computer หรือเครื่อง คอมพิวเตอร์ จากร้านนั้นๆ ดูว่าการบริการหลังการขายของร้านนั้นๆ ดีหรือไม่ เป็นร้านที่เปิดขายมานานหรือยัง ขนาดร้านใหญ่หรือเล็ก เพื่อลด ความเสี่ยงว่าเมื่อซื้อ เ
