Dear All,
The weather on the second day of being in Riga ,Latvia is quite cold, so AFS Thai Volunteers have to wear completely clothes like an Eskimos with Gloves and Coat .

Our first Activity is to meet the Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Latvia Staff. They presented Latvian Educational System by Powerpoint Presentation and brochures . We also shared the ideas about the policy of each country ( I mean Thai Edu.& Latvian’s) The most interesting one concerned the students with disability policy in Thailand , Great experiences!
After observing 3-4 classes at Rigas Secondary School No 3 where 3 AFS exchange students from Germany , USA and Thailand are studying, we had Latvian lunch Style around 1 p.m.

Then, we spent most of our great time out walking around the city learning through 800 years history of LATVIAN and so on etc . This is an useful experience !

Dear All,
I just came back to BKK, Thailand, my loved country yesterday afternoon. Good opportunity to participate in AFS Intercultural Learning and Living Program in LATVIA Volunteer Program during the period of March 29-April 13, 2011 with 10 AFS Volunteers from many parts of Thailand.

It’s a great Experience , Worth TIME! I know Latvia much more than just a land of beautiful Song and fantastic Dance, it’s also a Spirit of the Land.
Warm Hearted Welcome
Their Heritage of Heart is so rich .They are proudly passed from generation to generation of community pride, to preserve and to improve quality of their life. I believe that it will be better soon.

On the way back home, we had to wait for 8 hours to transit the flight at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport , so we decided to take an awesome city tour for 3 hrs. Good for KILLING time!(Kidding! It’s only my second time in Amsterdam)

After participating in a brief meeting set by MS. Rujira, AFS-THA Sending Program Manager and Staff for getting back the Program Evaluation , I was headed to Northeastern Thai FOOD Shop for my miss favorite food . Can you guess how much I have had my Yummy meals?

I’d love to give a special Thanks to AFS Latvian for providing a very Good Program , AFS Thailand for supporting the best thing for us, The office of Basic Education Commission for encouraging our group to learn and get a different but great experience and my Kamphaengphetpittayakom School for letting me participate in this program.
