Today, five Buddhist monks from the Buddhavihara Temple Kings Bromley were invited to perform a blessing service at the Aroy Thai Restaurant in Nantwich.
Blessing serivce for Buddhists means to have a chance to make merit through listening to the chanting, offering food and dana to the Sangha of monks, listening to a Dhamma Talk and training the mind (meditation practice).
Merit is a state of mind that is pure from defilment (greed, hatred and delusion), marit is the name of happiness as the Buddha stated that 'monks, don't be afraid of punya (merit), because merit is the name of happiness', merit will bring us happiness and bliss both in this present life time and the life after death.
Let all of us rejoice the merit done today, may the power of merit bring happiness, joy, success and prosperity to you and your family.

บุญคือสภาวะที่ใจปราศจากกิเลส ซึ่งทำให้ใจเศร้าหมอง เช่น ความโลภ ความโกรธ ความหลง บุญเป็นชื่อของความสุข ดังที่พระพุทธองค์ได้ตรัสว่า ดูก่อนภิกษุทั้งหลาย พวกเธออย่ากลัวบุญเลย เพราะบุญเป็นชื่อของความสุข บุญจะนำความสุข และความสบายมาให้เรา ทั้งในปัจจุบันชาติและอนาคตชาติ
