Hardware mapping ของ interface แต่ละตัวจะอยู่ที่
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
เช่น eth0, eth1... โยงอยู่กับ การ์ดตัวไหน
ค่า address ของแต่ละ interface จะอยู่ใน /etc/network/interfaces ไฟล์นี้จะระบุว่า interface จะทำการ bind กับ address อะไร จะใช้ DHCP หรือ static address
ตัวอย่างค่าต่างๆที่ระบุคือ
auto eth0 # บอกให้ interface eth0 โหลดโดยอัตโนมัติ
