The PMP aims to build-up and upgrade the capacity of a prospective project/program manager to fully equip him with the knowledge of project management and positioned him to effectively implement development economic endeavors.
The PMP is tailored design for the prospective project manager to:

- manage human and monetary scarce resources including procurement and contract management;
- assess environmental and social impacts;

- learn and understand information technology as applied in business work systems like management information systems.
